| I remember a few months back he did not have enough money for knee surgery, and I felt bad for him then cause he is a family guy and working his ass off for his dream, it is a hard game and you have to stay up and keep moving forward or it passes you by. Mentally he never really recovered from the beating that Penn gave him. | |

He did at first. His first two fights with Jackson were dominant wins over Diaz and Fisher. Who are guys that are as good(Fisher) and better(Diaz) than the last 3 guys he has lost to. Stevenson has hit a wall and at 29 years old is past his prime, but he has tons of mileage on him so it's no surprise. 45 pro fights. | |

| He never seamed to evolve with the sport, he was good but not great at anything which made him a decent fighter and especially in the early days of the UFC | |

| Yeah, his shortcomings showed really bad against BJ Penn and Kenflo and he seemed like he was about to take the next step, when his body just couldn't respond. It is too bad cuzI liked Joe Stevenson. | |
