IDK if he tried to hide an illness thats a pretty big deal and may even be breaking a law, he may have just blown it to where he is no longer a person that can be used

Although this sucks for tommorows main event, this is good news unless Marquardt is walking around with a disease or career ending injury. Hector Lombard has already released a video saying Marquardt can use all the roids he wants and he'll take him on. Fact is, while Marquardt is a top 10, possibly top 5 MW..he's already been used up by Anderson Silva and been set back by Sonnen and Okami...i'd actually rather see him test the top MW outside the UFC like Jacare or Lombard...a fight with Nate would tell us right where they stand.

now bird, if Nate is no longer in the UFC..he won't bother fighting at WW when there is a chance he could be the best 185 fighter outside the UFC. The cut to WW was in hope GSP would not bitch out of a move up to 185..which he did

Nate Marquardt was cut from the UFC due to a prexisting condition that he tried to hide from the athletic commission. The commission discovered it, alerted Dana White and due to Marquardt's previous knowledge of the condition, he was fired for trying to 'pull one over' on the UFC.
Nate Marquardt was cut from the UFC because it was perceived that when he was medically ineligible to fight, he 'sabotaged' future television negotiations and, in short, the UFC didn't appreciate it.

Marquardt looked far from drained or disoriented from the weight cut. The absurd rumors that he was roughly 10 or more pounds overweight are completely untrue, likely leading to more speculation that there was a potential substance issue with his medicals.

I find it hard to believe this was simply a case in which he did something minor. Being cut from the UFC is a major punishment, and I think it's absurd to believe anyone but the athletic commission itself when it comes to drug testing and other issues. We will find out more today at 4:00 PM ET as the Pennsylvania Athletic Commission will hold a press conference.
