| Good for Diaz. He gambled and won. He got what he wanted from Zuffa. | |

Well if he really does outclass Nick so badly in the standup like Wolf thinks, then he will cruise just as easy on his feet.

| GSP atleast early would have the speed to land a lot of clean shots on Nick. Still think he will shoot early and take it to the ground since he's incredibly hard to submit | |

me, saying like he's the best, he was saying I was avoiding him and stuff. But I never avoid anybody. Now it's time to walk the walk. It's going to be a good fight. For me, I don't care about the other title. The title that means the most to me is UFC. It's the most prestigious one. The UFC is (like) the NFL of football, the Stanley Cup of hockey. That's the one that everyone's wants to have. I know Diaz, the way he is. He's the kind of guy I'm happy to fight. I like fighting guys who are not easy like this, that have a kind of warrior spirit. I don't know him as a person but he's a very exciting guy to watch. I'm happy to fight him. He's going to bring the best out of me, because he's always putting on a good fight, going forward. It's going to be a good fight for me."

| The more I think about this fight, the more trouble I have seeing how Nick takes it, though I kind of want him too.... But his wrestling is weak and that's GSP strength, his striking is pretty much just boxing, his JJ is slick, but GSP is no slouch and is hard to submit, some say he could wear GSP out, but come on we know that won't happen; basically I just don't see it. | |

| i agree with you LA, I think nicks sole chance is a flurry that stuns GSP continued with a swarm of punches. I can see G S P using kicks and punches getting in and out of range quickly and mixing in TDs to through off nicks timing and keep him at bay. I dont like the diaz antics and persona but I am ready for a change at WW and nick would be a refreshing change | |

| Diaz uses a striking style that would never work on GSP. Ever. He has no reach advantage and between GSP's takedowns, kicks, and footwork, Diaz will be harmless on his feet by the third round. | |

quit pretending like GSP will even attempt to stand with Diaz wolf, you know how this fight will pan out SO GSP never stood for periods of time with Alves or Hardy? The issue with GSP not finishing fighters he should is real, but it's starting to skew reality in people's minds. Again, Diaz has good boxing when he baits guys into shoot outs and the chips fall where they may. Diaz has nearly gotten himself KO'd against Zaromski's and Daley in the process. GSP does not get into punching exchanges ever. He will use leg kicks and dart in and out poking Diaz before Diaz can counter. GSP is three times as fast and can attack from a much deeper range than Diaz can. Diaz has good striking but stylistically GSP is going to be a nightmare for him.

| Daley dropped Nick just the same, more times actually, now I agree this is fitting the mat fast, but GSP could easily open with leg kicks which Nick does'nt check and tear up his legs first.
Nick's striking style is tailor made for the takdown though.

As long as you aren't implying that Nick would actually find early success against GSP in a stand up fight

As long as you aren't implying that Nick would actually find early success against GSP in a stand up fight no, im implying that GSPs game plan will be to put him on his back and control him there

| Where in the flying mother fuck did this idea come from that GSP is scared to stand with niggaz? Please. GSP will stand with Diaz for periods of time probably to prove a point. | |

When a guy takes a 5 rnd fight vs a striker, and then puts that striker on his back for 20 minutes, the other 5 minutes do not show that the guy is willing to strike with a striker.

| The only guy Nick's recently fought that could threaten the takedown was Shamrock, but he wanted to stand and prove something like he does at times, he got owned because of it.
Reason I bring that up is although Nick's boxing is better then GSP's, and he finished some strikers lately, he wasn't fearing the takedown. With GSP Nick will have to be aware of it, and adjust his striking style a bit (he won't though), because he is an easy guy to takedown the way he stands and boxes. This should benefit GSP on the feet like it has for years. I'm sure he'll take Nick down often, but his wrestling should be able to setup his striking like past fights.
GSP by wrestling domination none the less

| If they stood and just boxed, I think Nick beats him.
Kickboxing, well Nick doesn't, simply boxing, so GSP would be landing kicks all day.
