American Wrestling instruction from the early 1950's. While toeholds and neckcranks had been taken out by the NCAA during the early 1930's other Catch elements took longer to be removed and form the American Folkstyle wrestling we're more familiar with. As you can see in the video there's a turnover to a reverse further nelson pry (stockade), the real Key Lock (arm crush) and a top body scissors with half nelson (low grapevined mount with what could easily become a guillotine choke). Just one example of why I maintain Catch as the missing link between Wrestling and BJJ.

Awesome video OU. Wrestling has had submission holds since the times of ancient Egypt, only to have those holds removed from the sport in the 1900's. There are a bunch of these videos online that you can check out. Good stuff.

Yeah I saw it on bloodyelbow, thought it was pretty cool. I thought atleast you would get a kick out of it.
