I would so pick the non agressive, patient, smart, in shape rua from the first machida fight over most lhws not named bones. The problem is that i see the rua from the second machida/forrest fight being the only rua we'll be seeing in the octogon for years to come.

Well still, main concern is that he doesnt come in to fight in the same shape he did against machida the 2nd fight/forrest fight. He better come in in the same shape he did against machida1/jones, patient and not agressive but most of all in shape and not injured

He was coming off a long layoff and injury then looked poor just like he did against Forrest..., he'll be fine but stylistically Bones was a tough matchup too.

Huh? reported injury or not he looked great in that fight, came forward and pressured Machida, Forrest and Bones he was done and gassed after the 1st rd and looked slow as hell. It's tough to say a guy looked worse in a fight where him coming forward and pressuring the guy won him the fight, and by knockout. The injury wasn't a factor...Against Forrest and Bones, his layoff, or coming in out of shape, or whatever left him slow and overwhelmed.

Ahh no. He was in good shape against jones. Might not of been as great of shape as he was against machida in their first bout but was in way better shape than he was against machida in their second bout. Also he wasnt the one putting on the preasure. Stupidly and surprisingly it was machida the one bringin it to him. He was landing and even getting the takedowns. For that he got ko'd for not fighting his fight and being aggressive. 2 days goin into that fightfranklin mcneil had reported shogun had an injury goin i to the fight. On the jones/shogun countdown his own camp said he was injured goin into that fight. On fight night he looked soft and out of shape. Not only that he had just had surgery for his appendix. The reason why he didnt look gass right away was cus the fight didnt even last a whole round. Same shogun that ko'd machida was the same/if not worst than the shogun that lost to forrest. Like i said, shogun can beat any lhw imo not named jones as long as he comes in in the same shape and style he fought machida the first time. Patient, not agressive and with a good gameplan.

Lol@ throw down. No. His speed was ten times better for Machida. He was a sack of crap and Lyoto would have KOd his shit too that night. This whole omg-bones is the best eva stuff is now tiring.

ok so are you saying shogun fights at his best when he is comin in injured and out of shape. i dont think so. i think when he is out of shape he has to put the pressure on for he knows he wont last long ala forrest/machida 2. once again the best shape he has come in was agaisnt machida the first time. that time he was patient and not agressive just like he was in his jones fight. sorry but i'll go by what his camp said . you know people who actually know him and whats goin on.
ps, i dont think jones is the best eva. i also dont think shogun is either or wether he is coming in injured ,machida 2/forrest or healthy machida 1. i see both as being beatable with jones being a little better

It sucks regardless. 4 years fighting in the states, 1 championship, 3 kos, 3 losses, 3 major knee surgeries. An up and down set of events for Shogun. I'll be rooting for the high times to return.

I stopped reading after "He was in good shape against Jones" do you watch fights? He was gassed like 4 minutes in, I don't care what Bones was doing, that in not good.

Thats cool if u stopped readin, that alone lets me know u really cant back up ur claim and are just talking out of ur ass. As for machida/gun 2, well its cool if u didnt know much about the fight or fighters as i did. All im sayin and can back it up is that if shogun was in bad shape against bones, he was far worst against machida the second fight.

I stopped reading cause it was a waste of time, and talking out of my ass? kid your embarrassing yourself. Had Gun not taken time off after his second Machida fight and had knee surgery, as it already IS, it would continue to be labeled one of the best performances of his CAREER. There is literally no need to back anything up as I CAN SEE WITH MY EYES, which fights he looked better in. Shogun was coming off a long layoff against Bones, and as he did against Forrest, looked slow and gassed early, but here's some ass clown saying he looked better in those fights then he did in one of the best performances of his career, knocking out the LHW Champ and winning the belt... LOL

If the knee was such a problem at the time, he would have been destroyed by Lyoto, yet there if was winning by KO...... LOL
Better performance
Rich Franklin against Chuck?
or
Rich Franklin against Forrest?
1 fight he had his arm broken minutes in yet won by KO...with that arm..
The other he came in 100% healthy yet looked old, slow and tentative.

Reading back what you posted, I think you're falling in love with what you read or heard somewhere instead of what you actually saw, that's your problem.

Ur saying his fight with forrest he looked gass but then again it lasted It did did last more than 3 and half mins. Heck the first 3 n half mins of his forrest fight he looked good, just like the 3 n half mins his second machida fight lasted. Also did u see how soft he looked in his second machida fight. Thats something i didnt have to hear but saw as he was in the same shape as in his forrest fight. In the end yes he had a great preformance but i dont wanna judge the guy on being a one round fighter. Instead to me he is a good fighter but thers no dening, the same shogun that lost to forrest was the same shogun that ko'd machida. Only difference was machida fought stupidly and got caught. Once again i would so favor the shogun from the first machida bout over most lhws not named bones, the non agressive, patient one. The one that won the title would have a 50/50 chance of either putting away his opponents early or gassing in the later rounds.
