- Sources close to the situation have advised BoxingScene.com that a rematch between featherweights Orlando Salido and Juan Manuel Lopez is being pursued for an earlier date, with the month of August being the target - and not a date in November or December as originally quoted by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum.
Last Saturday in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Salido (35-11-2, 23KOs) stopped Lopez at 1:39 of the eight round after referee Roberto Ramirez felt Lopez (30-1, 27 KOs) was taking too much punishment and stepped in.
Salido was hoping to make the first defense of his title on a July date in Sonora, Mexico, but Lopez's people are pushing for a rematch to take place as soon as possible. Article Link - http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=38260#ixzz1JzSmOLZCRematch possible for August, nice!

| Arum must have shit ten bricks that night. Nothing against JuanMa, but I hope Salido pulls it off again just to fuck over any plans the Bobfather had for him | |

Sometimes when you leave a match in the over too long, it gets burnt.

I dunno, Salido had a serious speed and power adv. I really thought Juan ma needed to get inside and bully salido, cause boxing at an arms length looked like serious advantage salido.
