| I hate the Lakers but I don't want them to get eliminated right now because truth is they are the only ones who can beat the Heat in a 7 game series. |

- LOL what bro, I replied......and not what I thought? again 3 straight Finals appearances, 2 straight Championships, of course you'd think they'd have a chance to win again, and even if they don't, hey can't win every time and it's not like they disappear, still a very good team for a couple years, and a consolation prize this year might be D12. On winning? no clue what you're talking about chief, I simply used logic to explain why a team might get complacent.
You sounded pretty condescending to me "Yo bro, you ever been on a team that was always winning". Like I don't understand what causes a team to become complacent. I think that is playing a very minimal part in the Lakers not playing well. Quick guards give them fits, that isn't news to anyone. Combine that with a guy that is a tough matchup with the ability to score even when contested. It's going to be rough. I'm not buying complacency here, It just doesn't look like the problem IMO. Last season they got smacked in the mouth and that woke everyone up, but this year they aren't able to take that kind of control. They just aren't clearly better then the teams they are playing, which appears obvious to me. And you sound pretty ignorant, like the thought of a team that has went again to 3 straight Finals and won back to back Championships, might think their shit doesn't stink can flip the switch and complacency might play a factor in their play., A FACTOR again
You also quoted me wrong, but it was a way of trying to relate the situation, I know I've slept on teams or players you think you'll own, and that can bite you in the ass.
But the pick n roll and quick gaurds have killed us for years....
You're reading my posts wrong if you think I think complacency is the only problem, part of the problem... I get it, I understand. I'm not saying complacency isn't a factor, just a very minor factor and not the key issue in the Lakers struggles. I don't think this Laker team, atleast right now, has the ability to turn that switch on and keep it on until the job is done. Last years team showed a whole new gear, I think they just clicked better last season. I'm not seeing the same team this time around. What changed since last year though? 1 year they just fell apart from a 2x Champion? Hunger, drive, those things can change, especially after winning, look at Pau, something is def off with him. IDK though really it was your hating and typical Lakers/Yankees fan stuff that riled me up. I can respect all teams winning but the Heat for obvious reasons, OKC, Chitown, Memphis ect would all be great stories for the league.

Right on Freak, it's soo fucking sad too, but I was saying the same thing last night, LA goes out, the Heat will def win, I see the Bulls as too young yet, I guess Boston still could come back though, 2 and 2s are common place. OKC would be game but would lose like 4-2 in a really close series.

| I hate the Lakers, Yankees and Laker and Yankee fans, but obviously I don't hate you personally(you too killer lol) I also hate the Spurs and was very pleased to see them exit early. You have to be aware of the overall arrogance of the fan base. I have hated them since elementary school.
The difference between this year and last years Lakers is partly motivation and part of it is they just aren't meshing together like they were able to last season, for whatever reason. Are some of them tired or hurt? Are they just unable to find the rhythm? Or is the ball just not falling for them? I dunno, probably some combo of that. But they don't appear to be the TEAM they were a year ago. Even if the talent is still there.

| The problem with the Lakers is Phil Jacksons Championship appearances come in 3s, not Championships.
Malone and Payton tainted the original cycle with that 2004 failure.

I think Boston still has a chance to come back. As weird as it may sound I think maybe Memphis could be a matchup problem with Heat because this will probably dominate down low and are very physical. I give them a better chance to beat the Heat then I do the Thunder. However Westbrook would have a monster series vs The Heat.

Not to many Lakers fans on here, just me, Kiler and B that I know of, Lakers board is ridiculous though. On OKC vs the Heat, it'd be a close series, and it's a series of mismatches everywhere but SF where Durant and Bron cancel out (Durant's more clutch). Westbrook unless gaurded by Wade can do whatever he wants on Bibby, Wade can be slowed but not much by Harden, Serg and Bosh bring different things to the table, size and bench play a factor for OKC, but Wade, Bron and Bosh will play 42+. It'll be close if it happens.

| Lakers cant even contain the pick and roll with JJ Barrea and they are somehow the only shot at beating the Heat
what a crock of shit
New season fellas last year doesnt mean anything. Paul couldnt own Dirk if his life depended on it, he couldnt in Memphis and nothings changed at LA. We match up well with Lakers in that they run out Fischer at PG and Paul/Lamar cant guard Dirk and Ron Ron seems to be losing his mind again.

which Dirk has been doing Would have been interesting to see if David West was healthy. I still think the Lakers would have found a way to win the series, but it would have made it more interesting IMO. I think the athletic Tyson Chandler is playing a factor in this series. Not a major factor but I think it is making an impact. But more then anything I think is Mavs are just clicking right now and the Lakers aren't. The Lakers are having problems "finding it" and they are running out of time.

| I don't like the Lakers chances to come back at all. Too many fragile egos on this team like Pau. After the way he's playing right now, I just can't expect him to turn it all of a sudden. He's too weak-minded. Like I said, its Kobe and a bunch of scrubs right now. Funny how he's playing better offensively than I've seen in a long time and everyone else is shitting down their legs.
If Dallas keeps shooting at this clip its going to be hard. Lakers just can't stay in front of guys and the Mavs are getting open looks. When you are like -24+ from beyond the arc every game its awfully tough to win.

| I love the fact u guys are argueing about teams that can give the Heat a run in the finals when 2 months ago most of u thought the Heat were the Celtics bitches lol. To stay on the topic I still believe the Lakers can comeback. Dallas has let teams back into series before after having a 2-0 lead and the Lakers are definitely good enough to do it to. The Heat vs Celtics is still a series where Boston can comeback so I will be watching very close on Saturday because that is the biggest game of the season for both of those teams so far this season.
