gotta love it when the Lakers pay dearly for having Derek Fisher as their starting PG..sure, it has its benefits at times but even moderately quick PG's destroy him.

Hi.. Already gaurenteed a comeback on the Lakers board, but gaurenteed the last two Championships and this one so can't back out anyways. I became a Lakers fan in January 2000, JK...

| Exactly what I have been saying. Even if the Lakers make the comeback in this series. This years playoffs will be harder then last years playoffs. Lakers are not a clear cut above like last season. If you still think the Lakers are being complacent, you are kidding yourself. Game 3 in Dallas without Ron Ron, going to be tough. | |

| Bro the West is actually easier then ever this year and the Lakers are blowing it. Memphis, Dallas and OKC to get to the Finals? Ask someone a month ago about that they'd be like "Lakers win the West". And although just playing poorly is most of the probloem, when a team goes to 3 straight Finals, wins 2 straight Championships, of course they are going to think they can turn it on at any point and complacency plays a factor. | |

Like I said before. LA 2010> LA 2011. Thunder 2011> Thunder 2010. Memphis 2011> Suns 2010. The Lakers just aren't as good as they were last season. You are being typical LA/Yankee fan. You will probably share the same fate, thinking up until the last out "Any min now these guys will wake up....any min". Sorry bro but you are delusional if you don't think your boys are in trouble. The aren't complacent, they are just flat out too slow and it's killing them.

And you're being some typical dumbass hater bro, and all credibility lost with Memphis 2011 > Suns 2010, drink the coolaid a little more bro LOL. You ever been on a good sports team? One where you were by far one of the best teams and continuously won whatever....Now picture you're a bunch of Pro athletes making millions who've just went to 3 straight NBA Finals and won two straight NBA Championships. You don't think it's went to their heads? That they don't play complacent at times and think "Oh we'll just turn it on" but sometimes it just won't happen every time......It's def part of the problem, along with mostly poor play as I already said. And stop with this bullshit typical Lakers/Yankees fan shit, when you know sports and can tell a team is good, AND HAS WON alot...then of course you'll have confidence in them, give me a fucking break. And no one said not in trouble, just won't say it's over until that 4th loss in a series, you have faith in teams you're a fan of bro, especially when you've seen what they are capable of. Keep hating though

| LOL what bro, I replied......and not what I thought? again 3 straight Finals appearances, 2 straight Championships, of course you'd think they'd have a chance to win again, and even if they don't, hey can't win every time and it's not like they disappear, still a very good team for a couple years, and a consolation prize this year might be D12. On winning? no clue what you're talking about chief, I simply used logic to explain why a team might get complacent. | |

You sounded pretty condescending to me "Yo bro, you ever been on a team that was always winning". Like I don't understand what causes a team to become complacent. I think that is playing a very minimal part in the Lakers not playing well. Quick guards give them fits, that isn't news to anyone. Combine that with a guy that is a tough matchup with the ability to score even when contested. It's going to be rough. I'm not buying complacency here, It just doesn't look like the problem IMO. Last season they got smacked in the mouth and that woke everyone up, but this year they aren't able to take that kind of control. They just aren't clearly better then the teams they are playing, which appears obvious to me.

| LOL I'm listening to the local radio right now. We have 2 host on the show. 1 of them is calling the Lakers dead. The other one said he "just knows" the Lakers will come to life and take the series. I couldn't help but laugh at the timing of the conversation. | |

You're reading my posts wrong if you think I think complacency is the only problem, part of the problem... I get it, I understand. I'm not saying complacency isn't a factor, just a very minor factor and not the key issue in the Lakers struggles. I don't think this Laker team, atleast right now, has the ability to turn that switch on and keep it on until the job is done. Last years team showed a whole new gear, I think they just clicked better last season. I'm not seeing the same team this time around.
