Probably right, neither should have happened. But Fedor dropping from 8 to 19 after the last loss. Not that big of a deal, considering the size difference in the last fight. This is p4p we are talking about.
If we voted on the top 20, I would have voted for Fedor. Maybe even top 15.

I agree OU. He lost to a guy that was 50 pounds heavier during the fight. If they were the same size then fedor would've destroyed him.

Yeah and like I said he went from top 3 to 8 to 19. He only received 1 vote total. No big deal.

I said before in the discussion thread, I don't understand the massive jump by Jones in the rankings. I actually had him ranked in my top 20 before Bader and Shogun but he still didn't quite crack my top 10. But others jumped him into the top 5 from outside the top 20.

But at least Jones weighs the same as them the day before. He only gains about 15 pounds in that day. Fedor weighs 35 pounds less the day before and doesn't add any weight.

Me and Dana are watching you Fedor fans!

Jones is bigger than that. A big LW can be 155 at a weigh in and 185 a day later at the fight.

What about his reach? An obvious factor in his fights. Which is a physical attribute and not a "skill".

But there is a reason I thought Fitch beat BJ but BJ proved to be the better p4p fighter. Same with Maynard and Edgar, thought Maynard won but Frankie proved to be a better p4p fighter.

Height and length can't factor into it. What do u want them to do? Anderson silva wouldve never been number 1 otherwise.

Says who? What is Anderson's average reach advantage? Probably close to half of what Jones' usually is. It's a unique situation.

You also have to have the skill to use it. Look at Struve?

I know, I'm just saying. Anderson probably has a 2-3 inch advantage in most his fights. Jones will have a 5+ reach in just about every fight. I think he had 10 inches on Bader and 8 on Shogun. Just saying it is a unique situation and was just posing the question.

Anderson has been on his run for years now also and he is still not number 1.
