Nick Diaz vs Paul Daley

Who you got.

I put in a lot of options in case you think this one gets dirty.

Lol, good idea I think.

I think Diaz eventually armbars him in the 2nd or 3rd round..but it will mainly be a stand up fight.

I really don't know yet, but wonder a couple things. Is Nick's poor takedowns/wrestling still good enough to get Daley down? We should take Brits weak wrestling to the bank in most cases, but he is still a much better athlete then Nick. Can Nick keep taking shots like he does? Diaz always gets hit, and Daley is probably the hardest puncher he's faced, can Nick eat shots from Daley like he does with everyone else? Who wins the fight after the fight? This may be the biggest question of all LOL.

The real question is will Daley make weight?

Diaz by Decision. I see this fight standing alot and I also see Nick getting a few TD's and working his jits. Possible win by sub, but I am sticking with Nick by decision.

Nick will submit Daley but I am praying to god for Diaz to try and be macho in this fight.

I would love nothing more than to see Nick Diaz laid out cold on the canvas.

I got Diaz by decision.

There is a very strong chance that Diaz will be his same old self and test his own chin just to represent Stockton, and show little Nate how it is done, if he does that with Daley's power that will be a huge mistake, I got to believe though that if Koscheck could own Daley that Diaz should be able to implement his game plan and submit Daley, no trash talk yet that I have heard so if he says he is going to keep it standing then his ego may get in the way.

Kos owned Daley like that because he can wrestle.

Diaz beats him down and when Daley is thinking of blocking ends up being choked out.

Nick by domination.

I picked Diaz by sub. I think Diaz can stand and trade with Daley, but I see it going to the ground at some point and Diaz just overwhelming Daley with his bjj. Daley seems too one dimensional for Diaz. One issue will be, can Diaz get the fight to the ground? While I dont think Diaz has the wrestling to shoot on Daley in the first round and put him on the ground, I do see Daley ending up on the ground after a scramble in or around the second or third round, with the first round looking like a stand up battle, with Diaz controlling the distance with his reach. Diaz by sub, round 3.

i though Daley defended Koshs attempts, not all of them obviously but he has a pretty good sprawl i thought

I went Nick sub.


But I think nick by gnp KO is a better choice. By route of reach, punch output and stamina, Nick will wear Daley down in the standup like he wears out every opponent he faces. And when Daley is hurt Nick will finish him on the ground one way of the other.

Problem Daley has is, even if he catches Diaz, If Nick is not lights out, Daley will need to follow him to the mat, where Nick is even more dangerous.



But I expect a great fight.

Still don't know who I'm picking in this one.

Wow only one person picked Daley. I think this fight is 50-50. Daley has great hands and speed, but I see this being similar to Nate vs Melvin Guillard except closer in the stand up.
