| Well it would take 30 years to supplant the NFL at best, but if they are not playing? College football would be number 1 but you still have a lot of space to fill. This could also be good for hockey. I don't know anyone who likes baseball. | |

| Andrew I like your enthusiasm, but MMA is never "supplanting" football or baseball. Its not even a remote possibility of any kind | |

| Baseball is dying! ESPN cut their baseball staff by 20% and rumor has it they may want some additional cuts. The MMA staff has slowly increased, so I am optimistic. Yes the numbers have been kind of down for the last few PPVs, but they always suck this time of year, because everybody is broke from the holidays. | |

| I don't think it is about supplanting, but no NFL effects what is possible for a lot of other sports, college football fills the football niche, but NFL is a kind of bigger than Football thing almost, lots of people have no interest in college football at all who are all about the NFL. It doesn't pump mma supa crazy but it presents opportunities to be exploited potentially. | |

Even with the 20% cuts and the increased MMA staff, I'm guessing the baseball budget at ESPN is still 50x's(at least) that of the MMA budget. Baseball has been breaking attendance records in recent years. ESPN still spends way more on Boxing, then they do on MMA. So Im inagreement with bobbitt, no chance of MMA supllanting baseball or(lol)the NFL. | |

| lol@ baseball is dying. Move to Peoria Illinois which is sandwiched between the St Louis Cardinals and The Chicago Cubs markets why don't ya and talk more of that noise... The NY Yankees alone are worth much more than all of Zuffa. The Redsox paid more to simply talk to Dice-K than the UFC did to purchase Strikeforce. The Cardinals or someone else will end up paying Pujols enough for five Pride deals. Baseball isn't "dying" as much as continuing to enjoy massive amounts of success. And yes, most baseball attendance records were set recently. | |
