Dan Henderson has one fight left with Strikeforce, ready to return to the UFC (via MMAWeekly.com)
"I’ve never said anything bad about (the UFC). I always appreciated everything they’ve done for me and for the sport. It’s just I was paid more money to go elsewhere, and that’s what I did. Dana’s the type that needs to talk a little smack if he doesn’t get his way, but I’ve got no hard feelings about anything."
"I had no plans of leaving, ... but I have one fight left on my deal and we’ll see what happens." Hendo will be back, Hells yeah!!!!

| Well the game is over with now. The UFC is officially the NFL of MMA, where as before there were opportunities for mergers with mid and small size companies to challenge them. Personally I have good and bad feelings about this, but DW didn't ask my opinion. | |

| I think this move might have just created an equivalent to the MLB. I think MMA just got their World Series. National League (SF) vs. American League (UFC). Big CoPromotion at end of year or something. Would be sick. | |

Just saying if it's gonna happen, in terms of the SF crew, ditch em all but maybe keep Pat around.

If Zuffa ends the showtime deal, then that would once again open the door to a high level promotion competing with the UFC. Perhaps M-1 which already has a deal with Showtime in place.

Look at baseball's rules.
As of 2008, the suspension for testing positive for steroids was 50 games. Players will be suspended for 100 games if they test positive for steroids a second time. A third positive test, like a third strike, means the player will be out, suspended from Major League Baseball forever.

| The good thing about this is now when guys like Jardine and Vera are cut they can go straight into Strikeforce instead of being relegated to Shark and Titan. | |

Perhaps M-1 which already has a deal with Showtime in place. With which fighters? All the best are signed with either the UFC or Strikeforce. Bellator has a good stable. and they have proven pretty adept at snagging good looking up and comers. And if an org can find those young guys early, and lock them up, then the have a shot at building a roster. If the sport continues to grow the way that it has, with more and more talent entering the fray, with more and more television stations looking to get a peice of the action, there will always be organizations out there who can offer interesting fights with talented fighters.
