| I wasnt saying differnce of opinion as a way of me trying to hide behind what I said I simply didnt feel like argueing at that moment. JV pitches in the much harder league for 1 and has won at least 17 games a season for 5 of his 1st six seasons. He has 18 already this year and still has about 6 starts to go. His stuff is dominating and not only has he gotten 2 No Hitters already he just missed 2 more this year taking No Hitters into the 8th innings. Linecum is a great pitcher and i would be foollish to say he wasnt(Which i never have) but JV has been the best pitcher overall for the last couple years for me. Linecum would be in the top 5 but JV is number 1 with probably Halliday 2nd. Verlander has played 1 more season than Linecum and already is over 30 more wins than him. There career whips are about the same with Lincecum at 1.18 and Verlander at 1.20. There career ERAs are Linecum 2.95 and Justin Verlanders is 3.57 which gives Linecum the advantage there but like I said i think it helps to pitch in the national league. They both strike out alot of batters and both are awesome but for my money Verlander is better. Oh and of course I make this arguement because Im a homer | |

| Obviously Verlander pitches in a harder league overall, but the AL Central blows | |

| Please never bring up wins. Lincecum would have as many if not more wins than Verlander if the Giants had Detroit's offense. Lincecum would have likely sported a losing record if he had Verlanders ERA the past couple years. That is how out of control W-L are for guys like Lincecum and Verlander and it varies with what kind of run support guys get. You realize Lincecum has had 9 starts this year where the Giants didnt score 1 run? and yet he still has 11 wins.
I also don't buy the AL is a harder league to pitch in. We got an 125 million dollar lefty on our payroll that proves that. I only buy that the AL East is the hardest division to pitch in for obvious reasons.

Run support is definitely an issue for the Giants I agree. | |

| Damn I just heard the Indians traded for Jim Thome. That guy is a Tiger killer although we play the Twins this weekend and with him not being there that should help us out for this series. | |

| The Tigers have a 6.5 game lead over the Indians and a 7 game lead over the Whitesoxs with 30 games to go. As long as we keep playing the way we are now we should have no problem holding on to this division. | |

| Got a series starting tonight with the Whitesoxs for 3 games. Would be nice to get 2 of 3 and put alittle more distance between us and them. With verlander going tonight we have a good chance to win game 1. | |

| Verlander gets it done again. He is now 21-5 and may win the triple crown of pitching. He is 1st in wins, 1st in strikeouts, and 2nd in ERA going into tonight. He is dominate as hell. | |

| Tigers were down 4-0 in the 1st and came back to win 7-4. We are starting to look like a legit contender now with the line-up we have and if the pitching can keep getting better. | |
