| If Anthony ultimately says yes, the Record reported that the Nets will get Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Melvin Ely and Renaldo Balkman from the Nuggets. In turn, the Nets would send Favors, Devin Harris, Troy Murphy, Ben Uzoh and four first-round picks to Denver. http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/news/story?id=6133683 | |

| Totally destroying their team, Harris, Favors and 4 1st Rd picks? Damn, I'd assume they're getting expiring contracts with Melo but that's really a lot to give up. | |

Yeah, only positive I see is they keep Lopez. So I guess Billups, Melo, Lopez might be a short term improvement?

| I still think the Knicks get a deal done. Melo said he would only sign with the Nets if the Knicks cant get a deal done to trade for him. Dolan gets a deal done and Melo is a Knick. | |

| All Melo has to do is agree to a extension and the Nets deal is done I just read, I bet Denver loves this deal. If I'm looking at past offers, the Nets offer is much better then what I've seen from NY. Should be decided pretty soon And the Lakers come in late with this trade http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4qluork | |

| Denver would never do that trade LA. Nets would be stupid to give up that much for Anthony. He's not a player that will lead you to a title as the number 1 guy. Anyway Denver should do this trade- http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4648q44With the Bulls adding 2 1st rd picks. | |

I agree completely. If he doesn't go to the Knicks he's an idiot, it's his best chance to finally upstage Lebron. The nets deal is a long term epic fail.

With the Bulls adding 2 1st rd picks. The LA trade was an obvious joke The Nets deal is on the table, only reason that doesn't happen is because Melo won't sign an extension, no one can beat that offer from what I've seen, I already said it wasn't good for them, but it's on he table so.. Why would Chitown do that trade? maybe they get Melo, but Nene isn't as good as Boozer and Boozer is signed for 5 years vs Nene whose contract is up soon. Denver is gonna want young talent or cap space.

| Boozer has awful defense and Nene's is pretty good. Carmelo would take the offensive pressure of Rose. Wont happen though. | |

| Could they sign a Melo extension?
Plus Boozer for 5 years vs losing Nene in like 1

Plus Boozer for 5 years vs losing Nene in like 1 Who says we would lose Nene? Because his contract ends after next season, so the Bulls would be able to sign Melo to an extension (Looking like he's getting a pay raise anywhere he goes and around 20mill+ a season), then resign Nene after next season, the same time Rose's contract is up, he's making at most 6mill now, what do you think he'll be getting at that point?

| So what. How much do the Lakers pay Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Artest and Bynum right now? | |

| Dude that's the Lakers, and that does matter, and they're over the cap and pay because of it.
Lakers this year 92 million
Bulls this year 51 million
The Bulls don't have the money to pay all those players, you're asking for a 25 million dollar team salary increase to sign Melo, resign Rose and resign Nene.
Teams just can't increase pay like that, there's a reason they are where they are in the first place.
If you're gonna act like Freak, might as well post under that name.

| You're forgetting that they would be losing the contracts of Deng and Boozer. Also, the Bulls can afford it. The Lakers, Knicks and Bulls can afford to spend more than other teams. | |

| Also, it looks like there will be a ceiling on how much a player can earn starting from next season. | |

| That ceiling means teams have less money also, they're talking about a hard cap.
And the Bulls haven't spent money like that since the Jordan days, they are currently 26th in the league in team salary, and they had a spending off season where they had all this money to spend.
The contracts they lose equal what they gain, but then Melo's contract instantly increases with an extension, as will Rose's who will get a huge pay boost from his current 5.5 mil, and you want to resign Nene.
The hard cap will means players will make less money and teams will have less money to spend, but players will still try to max their pay, just within the new system.

| We haven't had anyone worth the money since Jordan retired. Rose and Anthony would be worth it.
We are arguing for no reason anyway. There is no chance of Anthony coming to the Bulls.

| Which is why I started it in the first place, and I'm giving you everything you need to know, they just spent all their money this off season, why are they 26th in payroll? | |
