I really had alot of fun with this game yesterday. There are some things I don't like about it. But I started to have a lot more fun as I started playing. Eventually when I unlock everything it will be pretty sweet. You will be able to make some pretty cool weapons. I don't like how you have to use money for everything. Any weapon or drinks(health) you find on the ground or anywhere you have to pay for it. You choose between a couple different characters, One is a gun specialist, one a sharp object specialist, one is a blunt object specialist and I can't remember the other other one. I'm playing as a blunt object specialist but I kind of wish I would have picked the sharp object one now.
I kind of like using no weapons, I wreck shop that way. You can throw hands and kick. But I had a ton of fun with the butcher knife, if you hit them right you can cut off the head or their arms. But everytime you use a weapon it takes damage and you have to pay money to fix it. But really you can fuck a pack of zombies up with just punches and kicks. The more I played it the more I liked it.

I'm looking forward to playing this game when I get off. I know it's going to be pretty fun when I get deeper into the game with more zombies and badass weapons. But I can have fun just by kicking a zombie in the head 20 times on the ground. I'm sure later in the game co-op will be very fun. This should help me get to GOW 3 just fine.

I think I'm a 6. I would play for like 45 min and kill some zombies then I would take like an hour break and go back. Pretty sure I'm just a 6 right now. You got the game?

It reminds me of Fallout kind of, with out guns, with the currency system, upgrading and repairing, the skill tree and attacking. I'm interested in exploring the whole island. I've only got to the light house and searched all the east beach and the bungalows so far.

I'm awful at reading or even just paying attention to maps. I have been to the light house and whatever the 1st base is you start out. I searched along the beach and some of the bungalows. Have you found the plane crash yet? I haven't. Did you make a bat with nails in it yet? Which character did you pick?

Ran into this fun little glitch yesterday
What made it worse is I was freshly stoned when I turned the game on. Stuck on this point, nothing seems to be working, you can't even throw any weapon at the zombie. If you restart the zombie will still be there on the restart. I spent about 20 min before I gave up and went to my buddies. When I got back I just kept on swinging and eventually I killed him and got past it. But damn that was annoying. I wasted some money by throwing some knives and I lost a couple things when I restarted in frustration.

Got to a part in the game right now where I'm just going back and forth through the sewer. Kind of like it better when I'm able to free roam but it's pretty fun down there. I have died a shit load of times because one of those crazy fucks will run up and explode before I even know he is there. Game is definitely harder right now.

So far Riptide is every bit as good as the original, and in some ways better. New weapons(including sniper rifles, stunguns, nail guns, mines, chainsaws and the like). The only thing I like a little less is that you seem to acrue money much, much easier than before. I had something like 40k before I was done with chapter 3 and hadn't even been doing much out of the ordinary.

Looks like there is a decent chance me and/or Weezy get that at some point this week. I never even came close to finishing the first one but doesn't seem like the story line is that important anyways.
Do they have any new kind of co-op modes or anything like that?

No new modes, but there's a bunch of new enemies. Once you get to the old mission ruins shit gets really good.

I don't think I got even halfway through the last game since it came out like 1 or 2 weeks before GOW3 and BF3. But it was fun while I played. Easy as shit at first, but then it started getting pretty hard.

If you didn't finish the first one you probably should at least get to Act 3 before starting this one here. It's a continuation of the same story rather than a full blown sequel. More of a standalone DLC spinoff type deal.

I figured the story wasn't too important for this type of game. I didn't really pay attention to the last story while I was playing, I was just killing zombies. I don't remember how far I made it really. I'm not even sure I made it to act 2. I was just looking forward to playing some co-op.

Yeah Riptide is basically a standalone DLC, rather than a sequel. That's why it was sold for $49.99 on release day.

I could have sworn I traded the first game but I guess I just left it at Weezys? He played it yesterday and got to chapter 2. I think I might attempt to finish it before I go on to this new one.
