| did anybody not see this thread coming ?
you are the boss
your job is to schedule fights for a ppv level ($55) cards for sf . Do what you will with that, 2.5 to 3 hour window, 6 fights(like sf normally does), what's worth $55, can you make two cards without using a fighter twice, maybe more, maybe there is no card worth 55, does a guest fighter from a Japanese org come in(they do that sometimes), do you include the sf hw gp, chick fights?

| Not sure I'd advise a PPV just yet, we definetely would have the talent to make one if we needed to, but they can hurt an Org where it counts, their pockets. There's a lot of PPV cost variables you'd have to take into account, some of which I'm certainly not familiar with. Also, if you're stacking the card, that's gong to be a huge payout, it has to be a success.
At the same time, maybe we should strike while the iron is hot. We just had our best Showtime ratings (thank you Fedor), and we might not have many fights left with by far our biggest draw. If we could build a PPV event around the GP Final, Fedor, Nick Diaz and possibly Gina Carano, we at worst come close to breaking even or get our name further out there.

| If I were SF I think getting the quarter finals on CBS is a must for getting a ppv for this year.
It would really be no prob getting a stacked card togethor. Again one of the bigger gripes from SF fighters is lack of work.
My Card
GP Final(assuming Reem vs Barnett so they are spoken for) Diaz vs Daley Fedor Werdum 2 Gina vs whomever Batista Lashley Voelker vs Cyborg(entertaining brawl on the cheap),
3 bigtime fights for the hardcore fan. Gina, and a freakshow wrestler matchup to draw in the casuals, and a brawl to start things off and get everyone in a fighting mood.
Does it exceed the budget? Maybe, who knows what the freakshow guys or Gina are getting paid. but I think that card would draw pretty darn well. Especially if, as I said, the quarters were on CBS. And (this maybe a reach) they put togethor a fight camp that airs on CBS.

| Haven't heard much news about SF and CBS recently, last I read CBS was hesitant in getting another deal done. Think they'd want to do a Tourney Final on CBS, be good for both sides, but who knows. | |

| I put 6 fights as a precaution. The under card is not a SF portion of the PPV with the assumption of SF standard operating procedures. So there are 5 plus a swing bout in my bookings. Also, the premise of the thread was not to discuss the need for but to actually make a card. My first incorporated the Next title fight and HW GP fights, these next cards though are pure pipe dream booking disregarding existing schedule. | |

| Diaz vs Daley Mayhem vs Jacare Reem vs Bigfoot Lawler vs Kennedy Fedor vs Werdum 2 Gil vs Crusher Aoki vs Thompson Hendo vs Mousasi
Just a few examples of PPV worthy fights. Tons more. I bet you could make 4 PPV worthy cards without using the same fighters.

| That is stretching a little thin, but I would buy all of them. Looking at the list I don't see Griggs, V. Overeem, Gurgel just off the top of my head that could add to the cards. | |

| Didn't even bother to matchup Gurgel with anyone.
Val vs Griggs, Spirtwolf vs JZ, Thomson vs Travers were leftovers on my list which absolutly makes them to thin for 4 cards in case of injury, at least for replacing with their best fighters.

Gurgel is always good for entertainment and his face has been around for awhile in MMA. Even in losses he puts on a great show. Val vs Griggs is worthy for sure and better then some fights you picked IMO. Still guys out there to pick from like Prangley, Rizzo, Ricco, Gumby, Rosholdt. I'm sure they could get there hands on a couple of them if they wanted to.
