| What a cocky bastard he's becoming. Can't argue with the results, though. | |

| Well he's going to have to wait for Mir because he's set to fight Kongo. I guess this is a way for Spider to get his boys back (big nog) for the New Years fight, but honestly I'd rather see Anderson fight Kongo. That is the striking I wanna Mir. If Mir stands with Anderson then it'll end badly for him. | |

| That fight for Mir makes no sense. It doesnt move him up the heavyweight ladder and if he loses he is known as the heavy that lost to the middle weight. Mir should fight Kongo then be looking to fight for the title or at least a top contender match. Leave Spider alone it doesnt make sense. | |

But it is a spotlight fight, as big a fight as Mir could hope to draw(yes I think it's bigger then Nog), and though spider is the 185 champ he is pretty solidly a top 5 205. I really hope this fight happens.

| Mir can draw against Cain or Carwin or Kongo maybe not as much as he would against Spider but he would still keep himself rellevant in the title picture. | |

but Mir vs Cain or Carwin(especially if he loses) is a lackluster main event. A good fight, but not a huge fight by any means. Spider vs Mir would be pretty darn big.

| I wouldnt even consider Mir vs Spider a main event. I might be way off on this 1 but I dont think many want to see Mir vs Spider. Spider vs Rashad or Rampage or Machida I think would be much more anticipated than Mir. I think he should stay at 205. | |

| I would tune in to watch Mir vs Spider. I think it would be an interesting matchup. If he is so healthy he just needs to jump onto UFC 105 and take on Hendo. Let Nate get his crack early next year. | |

| Wow. This would be great! Hopfully Anderson will finally put a sock in Mir. Big jump to HW though. I've read that he walks around at 225 so its not a big stretch. | |

| Mir v Kongo is in the rumor stage. When is that bout set for, 107? That is months out. The fight will change three times between now and then. | |

Brock already shut Mir up no need for Spider to do it.

| If you want to see Spider challenged, have him fight Machida or Brock. He might not like the outcome though. | |

| I agree I'd rather see Mir-Nog II. Let Silva fight Kongo or Cro Cop if he beats dos Santos. | |

| I have no interest in seeing Silva at HW he looks soft at 205lb and at HW he'd just be chubby.
and I can't really see Dana being keen on the idea of Mir vs Silva like the rest I would much rather see Mir give Nog a rematch. |

| Soft at 205?
He looks thick and his power is significantly greater based on his fights with Irvin and Griffin who he slapped stupid with little effort.

| If he looks soft it's because he isn't adding the muscle he would for long term move to the division. I think he'd be the best in that division too. But Anderson is a fighter of honor, and he knows the mastery he and Lyoto have shared are the reason he is so successful. His first fight compared to now isn't even comparable in terms of his ability to deceive, mask, read and anticipate.
Anderson is really becoming a favorite fighter of mine.

| I don't think he looks soft at all. His body type is just long and lanky, you're never going to see a 6 pack on him like GSP or something. He looks great at 205. | |

| You both need your eyes tested. Most people find he looks more solid physically at the weight. | |

Anderson is really becoming a favorite fighter of mine. I am so sick of hearing how Machida and Spider are friends. If they are the best in the division then they should fight. They both talk about wanting to be great but neither will make the effort to fight the best which is each other. I know they dont have to fight if they dont want to but I am sick of hearing about it.
