| Overeem's management Golden Glory considers breaking with Strikeforce now that m-1 has entered into a co-promotion with the event. As this happened after Overeem signed a new contract with strikeforce in may, the management sees good reason to break open the contract with strikeforce. In the words of Golden Glory manager Bas Boon:
"It hasn't escaped my notice that we are dealing with a bunch of crooks who wish to brand their name onto someone who has managed to build up a successful organization on his own with a good network deal"
"Our deal with strikeforce was made before this bunch of robbers came along, but now we were planning on asking our money in advance. In fact, I see this as the ideal opportunity to say no to the contract that was signed earlier, we don't want to fight on any M-mini Cons & co promotions."
"Is this the organization who let Thommy Depret fly to America for nothing without having the decency to phone him to let him know it was cancelled?"
"I wonder what happens if fedor loses a couple of times, or can't fight due to circumstances, to all those enforced `Co-Promotions` that do not benefit the fighters in any way"
It seems to me M-1 are not the shady management. Atleast their fighters win titles and defend them. What's Overeem's excuse after 2 years?
So this brings up the question. Is Overeem ducking not only fighting in the U.S, but now Fedor? seems awfully conveniant that he won't fight on anything "co-promoted by M-1" though im sure he would love to smash Gail Goodridge face at a M-1 co-promoted event in Japan. Golden Glory has a rivalry with M-1. Overeem is their poster boy, and they don't want him to get mauled by Fedor. This is where the problems with co-promotion come in.

| M-1 = crooks
Overeem = roid freak who cannot pass a test
Overeem needs to get off the juice and join the UFC. Dana can give him Cro Cop to headline one of the UK shows.
Oh and now Fedor is now down to Rogers, Werdum, Monson, & Antonio Silva as possibly fights. I wanted to see him fight Overeem more than any of these guys. Sucks!

They are not going to get out of their contract that they just signed in May because they don't like M-1. There is more to business than petty rivalries. It's just an interesting read, thats all. Overeem vs. Fedor is going to happen. Even if it does not happen, how do you think he gets in the UFC while he's under contract to Strikeforce? he might avoid the co-promoted events and continue to fight can MMA fighters and do kickboxing but they can strip him of the title and he just some shrub who ducked Fedor and CAN'T go to UFC. By the way, going back to an earlier discussion i think there is a champions clause in Overeem's new contract. There was not one in his original contract that he had when they had nobody for him to fight, but they brought in challengers for him, and he agreed to a new contract. Overeem is not going anywhere. They are just butthurt that instead of Werdum as the top challenger, it's now Fedor. Cung Le and Josh Thomson have clauses as well.

| Has M-1 actually been tied to illegal activities? If so where does Fedor fit into all that?
My guess is this all comes down to the juice. If there is a guy in MMA who one could point to and say "yeah I think he is a juicer" Overeem is the guy. Thus he wants to hang in Japan.
We will see once Grim KO's fedor if Overeem is still coming up with excuses.

Everybody blames them for Affliction going under while Affliction only had to pay Fedor 400K while M-1 paid more than half of his salary. M-1 had nothing to do with Affliction having multi million dollar undercards. Also, out of all the other co-promoting with Golden Boy, Trump, and Cuban. It was somehow the M-1 affiliation that did them in. Affliction was in debt millions to other organizations that M-1 had nothing to do with. Hell, if they did it like an M-1 show with a cheap undercard and expensive main event, they might of turned a profit, but Atencio a moron. M-1 provided the only draw Affliction had and the only money that would have made if guys the prelims werent making as much as an entire UFC card through no affiliation with M-1. I mean look at the payrolls of those shows. Yet people still thin Affliction was paying Fedor over a million, and they still think Strikeforce is going to be paying Fedor over a million when M-1 is paying these guys the majority of the money. Seems pretty straight up to me. Antencio has even come around saying that it was him overpaying for the entire roster that did them in. Never once the M-1 and Fedor affiliation. Now that he is working with UFC again, you would think his tone would change but it has not. I have never heard of M-1 being tied to any illeagal activities. Everybody gets paid. Never heard anything about fight tampering. Just to the average dumbass fan. Trying to benefit off the name of your biggest and only name commodity in Fedor and not giving him up without getting any benefit for it makes M-1 crooks. Of course...being russian, wearing suits, and promoting fights immediatly equals russian underbelly to dumbasses.

| No wonder he wants out. Since Overeem won his belt, strikeforce has added 3 fighters better than him. Werdum IMO is a top 10 talent. Rogers would smash is face in. And Fedor, would probably decapitate him. He's prolly on Roids but that never was a big deal for me. Most of the time the more technical fighter will win. Bob Sapp was easy to beat once Nog figured him out. | |

| Werdum is a top 10 talent? Is he just behind or in front of Tim sylvia? I think he might be in the top15 or 20 but 10? NOT! | |

Overeem could probably just take Rogers down and have his way with him.
