| Overall, the event was not that good as it looked on paper, but a great ending made it memorable. I'll give a 7.5.
Another epic Anderson Silva finish to go next to his Griffin Massacre and clutch triangle against Sonnen. Not much to analyze in the fight. It was boring, then sloppy then i don't know what the happened except Anderson Silva made another top fighter look like a schmuck. I too want the GSP fight or a move to LHW but i think Okami should get a crack and after that you move on. Okami is the last one to "beat" Anderson Silva so you just know UFC is going to look to get on that...and i think Okami can provide a challenge. I think he's a better fight for Anderson than Belfort..but Anderson wins.
Griffin-Franklin was nothing memorable. Dominant performance by Griffin. I don't think it affects anything in the LHW division.
LHW fight was OK. I was never high on Bader, and him being a fairly one dimensional fighter with a heavy hand was apparent. He had no clue what to do on his back. Jon Jones looked awesome and he deserves a title shot. I worry about his tank though and the fact he'll be fighting a technical striker and a submission savvy guy with experience, but lucky for him Shogun probably won't be very fuel efficient after a long layoff as well. Interesting fight with many factors to consider. I got Shogun now but i'll be reviewing it.
Rocha ground work in the first round was the only exciting thing about the Ellenberger-Rocha fight. Don't care for Ellenberger's takedowns for the sake of scoring a point and not really wanting to be on th ground with Rocha but it's moot because i gave the fight to Ellenberger on him winning the striking in round 2 and 3.
Torres performance was good. Rogan was riding him but i don't really see why. He tagged Banuelos the entire fuckin fight and if this was GSP doing the same thing to a fighter 6 inches smaller than him Rogan would bust a nut all over his monitor...but he's used to Torres going balls out with no regard to what the smart thing to do is. Banuelos is fully capable of giving an overly agressive Torres another Bowles moment. It made no sense for Torres to initiate reckless exchanges when Banuelos has not proved he can even close the distance...and like i said, it's not like Torres was not landing at a high rate. Rogan kills me sometimes.
Cerrone-Kelly was one of the high points of the night. Very competitive and excellent GnP and finish bv Cerrone. Kelly is not the best guy Cerrone could have faced and i do worry about Cowboy against the middle of the pack but he was entertaining tonight.
Kid looked about as shot as he did before he knocked out some nobody on his last DREAM show. I would not be suprised to see him one and done. He's just not explosive anymore. Johnson looked solid but only his takedowns. Other than that he didnt get much done. This fight sucked.
Mendes looked good just like all the Team Alpha Male guys. I thought Omigawa had a decent showing. He constantly worked off his back, great takedown D..i just think Omigawa should have looked to find himself in the clinch more. He spent too much time trying the whole stand up game and it just was not working. Omigawa will stick around and i think he'll have a long UFC stint...it just didnt go his way tonight. Fight was pretty good. Mendes went in for the kill a lot and Omigawa was close enough on some subs to where he could have ended it as well.

He looked slow, sluggish even, but game as ever, and showed his superiority on the ground. Good fight.

| I didn't see the Kid fight so I can't speak on the whole card, but I do hope that Kid vs Mighty Mouse was a slobberknocker. This card had all the great fights and all of the hype. I was kinda left with a blah feeling with the exception of the main event and there wasn't much excitement after the bell rang in that fight. I realize the first minute of any Silva fight will be a dance so when the boo's started I was fine. I don't know what it was,but even after the weird kick Silva landed I still felt like I didn't get what I wanted out of that fight. The matches on this card top to bottom wwere a 9.0 out of 10. I thought the fights would be great and would've said this card would be a 9.5 out of 10 on paper. However from what I have seen I have to give it a 6 out of 10. I was let down. I only hope Kid vs Mighty Mouse is a great fight. I am out so I don't see any spoilers. I am gonna try to find that fight and watch it and come back and chat. If not, I will see you guys in the morning. No spoilers for me! I can't believe I missed the one fight I thought would be the best, but fcebook and timing let me down. I hope it is up on the net somewhere. | |

| It didn't live up to the hype, but I'll show love for the overall quality of the matchups, 9/10
Anderson is one of a kind, guy can do things like no one else. I've waffled back and forth with him and GSP, but Anderson just does things like this which seperate him from the rest. A fight with GSP will inevitably happen now, and will be the biggest fight in MMA history. I was thinking after Sonnen took Anderson down at will, GSP would give him trouble there as well, but did anyone notice Anderson looked like he packed on more muscle? Maybe he learned from the Sonnen fight. I'll take Anderson by knee or some crazy shit in that fight.
Forrest and Franklin was a letdown, Forrest won, not really overly dominant, 2-1 in the rds, but IMO if these guys fought 10 times it'd be 5-5. They offer the same kind of tough fights in the LHW division. Forrest/Page if he wins, Franklin/Lil Nog/Tito winner
Ellenberger looked stiff, he reminds me of a WW MTB, good wrestler, powerful puncher ect..Roccha has some slick BJJ, I like him for a couple more fights in the UFC.
Torres fought the fight he was given, I had no problem with it, worked his jab and kept the distance, solid performance, maybe we'll see Torres/Faber?
Cerrone had a nice win, good fight, but agree he's in trouble aginst some of the higer middle of the pack LWs.
Mendes should fight Griffin IMO?
Kid has lost a step, but I still think he has some fight left in him, I think he wins his next UFC fight regardless of opponent, well unless it's Faber or some shit. But DJ is a solid little fighter, guy can and will beat a lot of BWs, no shame in losing to him.

| Overall it was a 7 due to the two opening fights. The Prelims were very good, but then it was a snooze fest for the next couple, then the three big fights happened and they held up the card just beautifully. Silva was awesome, Franklin/Griffin was scrappy good, and Jones showed why there is hype where his name is concerned. | |

| 6.
For all the hype this card got, and for all the love I was giving it. I was hoping for a lot more than what I got, so this card was a pretty big letdown.

How can you say every fight delivered? Anderson Silva and Vitor danced around for 3 minutes until Silva threw an unexpected front kick that KO'd an unsuspecting Vitor. Rich Franklin vs. Forrest turned out to be less than stellar...I was expecting alot more from that fight. Jon Jones was really reserved in his fight with Bader, and seemed to hold back too much...and Bader just seemed to be a deer in the headlights. I was underwhelmed by that fight too. Nice choke by Jones though. Miguel Torres looked okay, nothing spectacular in that fight that jumped out to me. The Paul Kelly/Cerrone fight was one of the better fights of the night IMO...that one kept me interrested the entire time. Ellenberger/Rocha was an okay fight...pretty close. All in all, I was expecting this to be an EPIC showing by the UFC, and it just seemed to come a little flat IMO.

| Solid 8 imo. I to have no idea why Rogan was sweating Torres for consistently landing the jab and straight right and avoiding the counter. Torres barely got touched except for a single 1 2 combo all the while landing effectively
Kings is right "if this was GSP doing the same thing to a fighter 6 inches smaller than him Rogan would bust a nut all over his monitor..." damn right he would WTF?
Jones vs Bader was good imo. I think Jones was alittle to respectful of Baders power and could have opened up more. But in the end showing he was a higher level fighter than Bader.
Forrest suprised the shit out of me but using wrestling to beat Rich, I never thought Forrest would have done this vs Rich but maybe he wanted to play it safe and not trade. But I think that fight was a letdown just because I thought they'd just brawl for 3 rounds.
Main Event was good to. Anderson waited as usual to see what Vitor would do, which I thought would be go after the spider, but he wanted to see what Anderson was going to do. As soon as the action picked up it was already over via sweet front kick. I did expect Vitor to make this a fight so in that regard it sucked alittle but imo it was still a good fight where a champion proved once again that he's the man.

| Definitely didn't live up to the hype. Ellenberger and Torres fights were both snoozers that just had me waiting for the 3 main fights. Forrest-Franklin fight was just kinda meh and then the main event ended before we really got to see any good exchanges. Cerrone fight was really good though, and Omigawa's would've been better if he would have thrown some fucking body shots instead of being a robot | |
