| does anyone think the UFC might jump on the idea with some of their divisions? I think it might be worthwhile, particularly in the LW Division. | |

| I dont think the UFC has to do it, although I think it was a great idea for SF to do this. | |

| They don't really have much reason to change. For the most part the UFC actually schedules fights that make sense and has the champs defend their belts | |

| Much like how the first 2 rounds on the top of the bracket for SF should have been the logical progression anyway the UFC could so the same thing
What if they announced a LHW tournament:
Shogun Evans
Rampage Thiago
-----------------------------------------
Forrest Ace
Bones Bader
It would look awesome, but in reality its the way fights should have played out anyway which I think is what some of us having been saying about this SF tourney. | |

| I dont think Dana would lower himself to call it a tourney and look like SF had a good idea. | |

| It's disappointing to see bobbitt beat up on SF, an upstart promotion that barely existed a few years ago for not immediately achieving everything the way the UFC does it. Perspective is a beautiful thing. | |

| I'm not beating up SF, I just don't have a hard-on for this tournament like its the greatest thing MMA has ever seen like some on here seem to have. These fights should've been happening anyway | |

| So the tournament sucks because these fights should have been happening anyway...ooook.
The last meaningful HW fight happened like 5 months ago, the UFC is about to have the same thing happen there. It happens in this division. Strikeforce is doing exactly what we wanted and more and yet all some can do is bitch and moan. I expect it from LA, who isn't even a valid poster hardly anymore but you? | |

I never said the tournament sucked. I'll be watching every fight. But Reem should have been defending the belt against Werdum anyway with a Fedor-Silva #1 contender's match which is how this is set up. I don't think that makes it one of the best events ever in MMA, it makes it logical and how shit should have gone down to begin with. This has nothing to do with SF, I'd have the same outlook if the UFC announced a tourney like the one I set up above | |
