UFC releases former contender Marcus Davis following UFC 125 loss

Looked a lot better than I thought he would at that weight and still makes for entertaining fights. Is Bellator's LW tourney filled?

i have to say im a bit surprised at this, but since it's at LW and considering all the new ad-ons it makes sense

Marcus is getting pretty old, 37 with plenty of wear and tear.

I can't get mad at the cut if your a 155er right now you got to win to keep your job it's as simple as that, but I've always liked watching Davis fight, I hope he gets signed by SF they could use a good LW/WW combo guy.

had he stayed at 170 and put up a fight like he did he may still have a job.

as i believe werdum was never cut but left on his own terms?

P Daley had to pick up a win in order to get a shot in SF

Daley's win at some small show had nothing to do with him getting signed with SF imo. If he didn't fight that fight he would still be with SF

Those guys were all under strange circumstances though. Who was the last dude to get straight up cut because of losses and then get immediately picked up by SF? Gurgel for whatever reason I guess
