Agreed, the only difference between him and Brock was that Frankie was able to survive.

| I thought the same while watching. Very Brock like. There was almost a bit of break dancing in there as well.
Big difference of coarse, is Frankie was never viewed as an unbeatable juggernaut who would smash all comers with the greatest of ease. This despite Frankie having a MUCH better resume then Brock.
Perspective certainly plays a part.

| i think the engine was running but nobody was behind the wheel. I don't think Frankie was thinking to himself "oh shit, i gotta get away from this guy". It was more like, cut a chickens head off and watch it run. | |

| Kings and capt are onto something here. Frankie did kind of run, but then he took further shots and didn't run in the fight, and in fairness to Frankie he did fight back at points and didn't urinate himself or cower in the corner and pray to viking jebus to come save him from the bad man. | |

| But this is/was different with Brock getting rocked and trying to survive, the reaction by both fighters is remarkably simila.
Capt., in terms of number fights fought, Frankie obviously has the edge, but Brock did fight 3 former Champions, and have 4 fights (one twice) against top 5 HWs at the time of the fights.
And we know Frankie is 5x the fighter Brock is, but I thought I'd point this reaction to getting rocked out.

| Had Frankie been pounded out the storyline would have been he ran like Broc-ch. But he didn't and went on to fight in one of the best fights I can remember watching. | |

| But that was a different fight. Carwin blew his wad, and didn't go on to win competitive rounds like Gray did. Also, Brock appeared to be running a bit more than Frankie. Frankie wasn't billed as an unstoppable killing machine. And the lasting image of that fight wasn't him running and if you go back to the threads at the time that isn't what any of us were talking about. Perception is reality. You love Brock. He's over now. Lets discuss something new. | |

| I'm a much bigger Frankie fan, though still a Brock fan too obviously, I'm just pointing out the bais in the reactions. There is no real difference between Frankie's reaction and Brock's. It's also in unfair to say, oh but Carwin gassed so....And Frankie wasn't an unstoppable killing machine, but he was a consensus #1 LW in the World. I'm just having some fun, Bobbit and Timmy got it. | |

| the best thing frakie did in the first was grab onto the cage to help himself up while giving his back to maynard the whole time. had the ref not warned him to let it go he might of not and would of held on there for a while. also i agree that carwin blowing his wad was one of the reasons lesnar was able to finish him were as maynard had a much better gass tank but at the same time brock survived agaisnt one of the hardest hitter in his division were as frankie did agaisnt gray, a lw who hasnt finished a fight in a long time. | |
