| The fifth round was absolutely Frankie's round. I don't know how people saw it for Gray. He was outstruck, and Frankie countered 7 takedowns. That's the definition of control. | |

| I wouldn't say the fifth round was "absolutely" anyone's round. A lackluster round on both sides. Fightmetric has 20 strikes landed by Edgar to 16 by Maynard, to have landed only 16 and 20 strikes in a full five minute round is very close but if you want to get technical, Maynard landed two more power strikes to the head than Edgar did in the fifth. Maynard also stuffed three takedown attempts himself. | |
