Favorite WEC moment?

The last WEC event, featuring Ben Henderson and Anthony Pettis tomorrow will be the final chapter in one of the best and most exciting MMA orgs in history.

The question is simple. What is your favorite WEC moment of all time?

I would have to say the epic build up and fight between Faber vs Pulver. The hype behind this fight at the time was crazy and the fight itself more then delivered.

No question for me if it's just a moment. Aldo's flying knee that knocked out Swanson.

Too many to count.

As far as fights go, too many to remember. Going along the lines of what Ninja said though, I would say my favorite moment was just the huge anticipation for the Brown-Faber rematch that even my friends who were casual MMA fans at best were calling me about everyday in the weak leading up to that fight. WEC was serious major league shit that night

easy for me, my friends especially one of them were die hard Faber fans and I was telling them Brown had a major chance and they basically laughed me off, Faber went for that elbow and it was all over.

Probably Brian Bowles knockout of Torres, or the Torres-Mizugaki fight.

Bowles vs Torres and Brown vs Faber were 2 of the funniest fights I ever watched live, my friend was huge fans of them and just lost it especially since orres was right after Forrest Griffin met the Spyda

Jens Pulver beating Cub Swanson via arm triangle in round 1. The last win for Pulver.

should we not say favorite WEC fight? Moment would be more along the lines of JUST the Aldo knee, or JUST failed spinning elbow from Faber.

But if I go fights.....

I'd prob say the 1st 2 rnds of Faber Pulver 1. I'll take what Ninja said above and add in the fact that the Torres fight that preceded it was also pretty epic. So during those first 2 rnds(b4 it became obvious who was going to win) I was thinking that I was watching one of the great events of all time.

The Condit vs Miura fight was also excellent.

That would be the one and only win he has in the WEC, the fight I listed as my favorite. The first round submission of Cub Swanson.

I can't recall a bad card.

My favorite fight was the first Bendo vs Cowboy fight, it was awesome action throughout and I became a fan of Bendos after it

There are a lot of good moments, I'll go old school for it because some of the old stuff is as good or better then the great shows WEC puts on these days.

Chris Leben Ko'ing Mike Swick early in their fight was bad ass then and cooler now in retrospect.


James Irvin Ko'ing Doug Marshal was brutal. Irvin at his best. Classic footage, shit talking.
