| watching Ubereem morph from a LHW journeyman to the fighter he is now has been astonishing to say the least.

| I can't believe Semmy lost....he looked that shit against Aerts. Maybe an injury?
Overeem won the most uneventful and weak K1 GP ever...and probably, sadly the last...

| Aerts had beat him before. Semmy looked gassed late in the fight. Looked good in his first fight. Ya the GP was somewhat less stacked but this is still an accomplishment for the Reem. | |

| I loved it when Reem was walking out in his first fight against Spong and the voice was like "lock up your horses!" lol | |

| Would it have been more eventful if Semmy had won again?
Granted the Overeem KO's were due more to wear and tear of the previous fights, but the Spong fight was a good one(thought Spong had him in troubley early), and the Schilt Aerts fight as well as the saki Ghita fights were both pretty good.
As far as the Reem morphing, even if u look at a fight from 1 year ago, his style has changed dramtically. He was once an electric fighter with tons of spring in his step, he is now such a tank, he still has quick hands, and massive power from all directions, but most defineatly a plodder.

Not really..Watch Aerts two original wins over Semmy. They were clear robberies. Overeem won a GP without facing any of the elite three (Semmy, Remi, Badr). That's not impressive.

| He beat who was in front of him. He's already beaten Badr once. Remi's career is probably over and he beat the guy who beat Semmy legitimately in the tournament.
So Reem's GP win is useless to you ninja?

| He is more of a plodder isn't he? I agree capt. Though part of it I think comes from the K-1 style which tends to encourage that. | |

| beating the 3 time K-1 champ in the finals who legitimately beat Semmy and Mo to get there isn't impressive?

| You act like beating Mo is a accomplishment..The last time Aerts won a GP was the 90s. Overeem had the easiest matchmaking in the last 10 years. He beat an injured saki and arts..: | |

The Aerts at this GP was the best he'd been in years. I agree it isn't the best set of names but Overeem beat who was put in front of him and is the K1 HW champion. He's proven to be at this level before with his win over Hari.

| The way Semmy was fighting all night Overeem would have run the table in a round robin as it is. | |
