| Havent watched UFC yet. Turns out they were both tape delayed and i chose SF and will watch UFC on DVR before i go to sleep.
Awesome card if you like KO's. None of the fights except for one were competitive though.
Brutal GnP by Hendo. That first punch he landed after he got up. They probably should have stopped it right after that. That literally looked like a big brick hitting Babalu in the face. He should get the fight with Cavalcante. Though i like Feijao in that fight but you never know with 205 these days it seems. Hendo looked strong. Babalu looked similar to the Mousasi fight.
Impressive, highlight reel KO for Daley. Smith looked uncomfortable and unnatural for 170. He should return to 185 pronto. I like Smith but he is a tailor made fight for Daley. I actually want the Noons fight next as well, i'd even settle for Evangalista Santos. These are the matchups i want to see Daley in because i don't truly see him as a threat to Nick Diaz...i want Diaz to fight Mayhem.
I picked Matt Lindland. I had a gut feeling that old man muscle would prevail against Lawler but Lindland is simply an old man. That was about as scary as Vitor Belfort's KO of Matt Lindland. It took him almost or as much time to wake up. I don't usually call out fighters to retire, but Lindland should not be taking fights with people like Belfort, Jacare and Lawler anymore. Any promoter looking to get him in those fights for now on will be considered irresponsible. Get him in Japan to fight Sakuraba or something but that kind of made me sad because i like Matt Lindland. Nice job by Lawler, i just hope they don't give him a title shot or anything.
Antonio Silva vs. Mike Kyle was my favorite fight of the night. Loved Mike Kyle landing a bomb that knocks most the fuck out and then Silva surviving a pretty impressive onslaught. I don't know if Silva took him lightly in the first round or Kyle's speed and power just caught him but he took an ass whooping in the first round. Bigfoot flipped the switch though in the second round and dominated. Loved the finish to the fight with Bigfoot getting the mount and smashed to the finish. I think more highly of Kyle than i did going into the fight, and i've always liked Kyle.Bigfoot finished the fight impressive, but it might make people question Bigfoot ability to hang in the standup with Overeem...but different matchups. Kyle has a lot of speed on Bigfoot and that obviously played a factor in landing that big punch.
Ovince St. Pruex looks decent. Definetly dominant for 2 weeks since his last grueling decision...but, hard to get too excited about the guy when he has Radach in the same dominant position the entire fight and can't finish him, but i guess he gets a pass for gassing. I'm not sure he'll ever figure in with the better light heavies in strikeforce though. Radach should return to 185 obviously.
The commentators were pretty good. Maybe SF told Mauro to shut the fuck up about the rules and just give Pat and Shamrock material to play off of.
I didnt like the no in cage introduction for the first four fights. They usually only do that for Challengers cards but maybe the 5 fight card risks running overtime or something.

| The Strikeforce card was 100 times better than the TUF Finale. Pay close attention in the Garcia-Nam fight and post your fight score before the judges decision if you don't mind. |

| Good card full of mis matches. Worked out well for Strikeforce as all 4 of the favorites delivered big time. | |

| King why no Lawler vs Souza. He's won his last 2 MW fights, both by devastating KO.

Because they were against guys who aren't in the top 15.

Because they were against guys who aren't in the top 15. well then they need to import somebody to fight for the belt, if they need to meet that criteria.

| MW is still one their best divisions. Souza is tops but there are plenty of guys to compete below him right now:
Miller Lawler Hendo, won't write him off completely as a MW. Kennedy Cung Le Prangley Manhoef Rockhold Medeiros Smith Cyborg Radach Lindland
If SF got their matchmaking ball rolling they could go after guys like Misaki, Cote, Santiago, Schambari, and Khalidov or in the mix as well.

| This was not a card full of terrible mismatches. These were good fights, even if all the favorites delivered awesome knockouts. | |

Key word, this SF delivered in awesome fashion. When that happens I care less about other stuff.

| Another SF thought: They are really going to try and make this "OSP" thing happen aren't they? | |

why not? His last two fights have looked like reenactments of GSP's last two fights.

| It was a great show sat night.
-mad respect to Kyle, Smith, and Radach for stepping into a deferent weightclass but it was obvious they didn't belong at the weights they fought at.
-someone that really cares about Lindland should talk to him about retiring or never taking fights vs someone with KO power like Robbie again. I def don't think the win does much for Robbie except remind people that he does have that kind of power.
-Scott Smith looked sick to me, doesn't need to cut that much weight but props to Daley for being smart about his KO of Smith, taking his time not rushing it.
-Hendo did exactly what we all thought he would do. His fight with Jake had us worried but I think Hendo still has alot of miles at 205...... I hope atleast.
