He is currently the heavyweight and Light Heavyweight champion for the Ring of Combat promotion. He's 7-1 with 5 (ko/TKO's) and 2 subs. His only loss came on an injury when he put his hand down to stop a throw breaking his forearm.

Gian Villante, a two-time champion in Ring of Combat and Levittown native, has signed a multifight contract with Strikeforce, Newsday has learned.
Villante will make his Strikeforce debut in the heavyweight division against Chad Griggs on the Feb. 12 card at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J.
