College Football Conference Championship Game Predictions

I was more responding to josh. I make a thread about conference championship games and discuss the ramifications. I'm then told that all I talk about is Boise and I don't respond to others posts. Did I mention Boise in passing about the MAC championship? Yes. I was discussing who I was rooting for and said the reasons I would root for either Toledo or NIU. It doesn't make too much sense to me about Boise jumping TCU either but Edwards said it was a possibility. I do think what helped both non-AQ teams was several losses by teams high up in computer polls. Mizzou was very strong as well as OU. Utah was pretty high up too. Bama was behind both but had the potential to pass them. This shores up a higher computer ranking for both these teams. My prediction has always been that Oregon is going to the ship undefeated but now I think TCU has a fantastic chance of being there. Auburn has 3 tough games left. LSU and Nebraska are the only 2 teams that could vault over the non-AQs but the Big 12 lost a lot of steam this weekend and LSU needs Auburn to lose the next 2 for a chance (there is more of a chance of Boise-TCU in the MNC than a team that doesn't win its division).

I can see scenarios where Wisconsin, MSU, LSU, Nebraska or Auburn or Oregon even with a loss play for title ahead of either non AQ. Rightfully so too IMO

I did forget about Wisconsin. I think Oregon and Auburn would be close but I don't see either one staying above. The human polls are what matters and IMO people vote insanely.

I can agree with that. As long as there is a preseason poll and coaches and media vote on the polls they will never be legitimate.

I am happy that I have finally seen a team truly take a hit without losing although I am sad that it is a team that I was/am rooting for. Preseason polls are ridiculously bad for the sport. I also don't know why MOV is not included in the computer polls. I don't care if good teams "run up the score" because of it. I want to see a team more rewarded for a 17 pt win than a 1 pt win. Oregon would be 1 in the computers if MOV was included and I don't think any team can beat them so I would wholeheartedly agree.

TCU was #3 last week, just so u know.

I completely disagree with the MOV part. I think Wisconsins 1 pt victory in Iowa City is much more impressive than Iowa's 10 pt victory in Michigan. If they want to put something like that in, then I say factor in points against. Even shitty teams are hard to shut out, but not hard to beat by 40+

Boise was third in both human polls last week and they are fourth in both this week. TCU was already third in the BCS last week but not the polls.

BCS is all that matters from here out. AP never matters for any reason anymore.

I understand the BCS is all that matters but I thought we were discussing how insane the human polls can be and therefore were talking about the coaches poll and the Harris poll.

You have the worst D because of him. He tried to bring Big East pussy football to the Big Ten and that shit don't work. It was a bad hire, period. Doesn't it suck to have to hope for a win at Purdue? lol

yo zig have you ever had a problem getting a iowa jersey like a certain player is sold out for god knows how long? adidas sucks! all im trying to do is get a drob home or away jersey and mden has been sold out since they came out this year. ive never had this problem with jerseys ever. you would think that everyone has got one by now.

Dude there are so many places around here that sell Iowa Jerseys that I really haven't had an issue. When I got my Bob Sanders jersey that was the most trouble ever but it was a throwback that they didn't make many of and I only had to wait a few days.

I think that offense will get figured out with the defenses in the Big Ten and I really don't see him implementing a smash mouth defense since he has never had one before.
