| Co-promoting with Bellator gets SF almost nothing. But not co-promoting with them has some negatives, as you point out. The UFC is laughing it up watching these orcs cannibalize eachother. | |

1. Gil/aoki happened recently. It was one sided and fresh enough in my mind that I do not want to see it nor would I consider it as dangerous. Why would anybody want to see this again so soon? I don't really know anyone who does.
2. Moving forward with dream is like trying to throw a transparent veil over my eyes. Especially in trying to sell Gil/Aoki 2. Gil proved he is better in dominant fashion. I will always be a fan of people in the same sport competing against each other, organization structure and good business don't do shit for me as a fan, they are anti-fan, they just segregate and factionize a bunch of athletes who all are doing the same thing. It's all about balls to me. Taking all the safest business moves shows a lack of them to me.
3. This is where the money is, this is what the fans want to see right now, this is what the fighters want. If Scott though Gil would win he wouldn't run away from this. He is insulting his champ. I bet Gil leaves soon anyways.
With all of the talk from Gil, Eddie and now among fans for weeks, at this point, pussing out of this fight hurts SF more than anything. Makes them look weak and scared. 1)In terms of Gil Aoki, I was talking the first fight, which was a very dangerous looking fight going in. The 2nd fight looks nowhere near as dangerous, I agree I also agree that I'm in no rush to see the rematch. 2)Dream is an excellent relationship to keep going, as evidenced by the first Gil vs aoki fight, which everyone wanted, and most liking the idea of Crusher vs Josh. It has also helped keep Sf fighters busy. 3)I think the fight needs to happen as well. But b4 we jump down Scott's throat, we need to realize that a)he is running a business, and b)Eddie just fought, less then 2 weeks ago, and gil was taking time off to be with his newborn baby. There has barely been a negotiation period, and people acting like Coker is scared or insulting Gil, because he is not bending over backward to give Bjorn the only possible relevant fight out there for his champ is a bit irrational. I'll wait a while b4 I give Coker grief on this. | |
