| Ya but why? He has good technique and has never been blown out even in losses to top ten fighters. Head movement is good, wrestling good, foot work good, defense good, clinch good, bjj good, kicks good, knees good, cardio good for the most part and after fight celebration good.
Vera is a classic example of how people convince themselves a fighter sucks or is mediocre when they have proven talent or obvious potential. Thiago is an example of how a fighter with a lot of technical questions gets over hyped.
Vera has had a far more impressive UFC career and has shown significantly more tools in nearly all areas of the game. But some don't like him. Some hate Tito too, and people hated BJ Penn as well. This means they're all over rated and will lose to bums right? Please. Same story when people thought Florian was more than the-little-snowball-in-hell-that-could because BJ pissed them off, or how people hate Matt Hughes so they drop him off the top ten lists in favor of comparative nobodies like Paulo fucking Thiago. Whatever.
I hear 100 morons a year tell me the Patriots suck and Tom Brady isn't that great too. Human nature I guess.

| Let's not compare Vera to Tito or Penn. Even after his embarrassing performance I still put Flo on a higher level.
Why don't I like Vera? Cause in 3 of his last 4 fights he has earned the boo's that fans have rained down on him. Guy has one good win on his record and that is vs a guy(who you always belittle) still trying to find his way in the cage after a brutal motorcycle accident.

| I don't hate Vera but he does seem like a douche. I would LOVE to see a fight with him and Thiago though | |

| Vera is middle of the pack at 205. He's working his way up slowly but may never get to the top. Rampage, Rashad, Forrest, Machida, Shogun...I don't see Vera beating any of those guys. | |
