Vernon Forrest's 3 Fight Plan

Read a sad article today about Vernon Forrest, it said his plans were to beat Sergio Mora, then fight Kelly Pavlik, and then retire against Paul Williams

I honestly think he would ahve beat Pavlik and WIlliams

what do you guys think?

Forrest wanted to take back the world title that had been stripped from him against Sergio Martinez. Then he wanted to take Kelly Pavlik's middleweight belts. Then he wanted to walk away after an Aiken-Augusta matchup against fellow world champ Paul Williams -- a farewell tribute to his hometown pitting its greatest fighters.

"Three more times and that was it," Watson said. "He had other things to do -- working with younger kids and giving back and spending more time with family and friends."

Vernon ducked the hell out of Sergio Martinez. He was stripped of his ABC belt because of it.

He loses to Pavlik at 160.

I always felt Paul Williams should have fought Vernon in ATL and start building his fan base there, since Paul being from South carolina he could have the south on lock. Too bad Goosen is inept.

Hmm a Paul Williams fight would've been really interesting, I think maybe Paul just has a bit to much energy and stamina for Vernon to deal with.

Vernon could outbox and outjab Pavlik pretty easily.

Forrest could punch though, I think either would of been great fights

Forrest did duck Martinez but to be fair Martinez had only just had his first fight on HBO, so he was a very high risk low reward.
