GSP vs Koscheck

Confirmed for December 11 by Koscheck.

I was thinking that they would put this on the new years card

I'm kind of excited for this fight, but I'm not putting much hope out for Kos. I do think that if Kos could take down two athletes like Daley and AJ, then he may have a shot at getting GSP to the ground. He took GSP down once in the first fight. I wonder if he will be able to again.

GSP is sooooo much better than Daley or Johnson, it's not even comparable. Kos has good takedowns, GSP's are better. GSP has better striking, less power, but much better movement and striking. Standup doesn't really matter in this fight, though, GSP isn't going to let Kos have the chance to knock him out. It'll be takedown and gNp, all day long. Domination, just like Oggy said.

I don't think GSP will have the same wrestling success this time around. Last time I think Kos was taken off gaurd, he just assumed he was that much better wrestling then GSP.
Now he knows that is pretty much all GSP does these days, this time he won't be taken off gaurd. Now I hate that dickhead Kos but I think he has the tools to make things interesting for GSP. I think we might see a decent fight by Kos. I don't see any way he actually wins but I think he can hang in there for awhile and maybe win a round or 2.
I'm taking GSP via UD, can't see this fight going any other way.

GSP gets a bad wrap concerning finishing. He's finished lots of guys, including Penn and Serra. His last couple fights have been decisions but most guys would've been finished by those subs against Hardy and well, he beat the piss out of Thiago Alves so...people just want to find something to dislike GSP for I guess.

I hope Kos does something to really piss off GSP so we might actually get to see some killer instict. Maybe fuck GSP's mom and then shit on the Canada flag...whatever it takes to make GSP fight with some emotion.

GSP is the better wrestler, the better striker, better jiu jitsu. I just don't see how Koscheck wins unless he lands a haymaker which i don't think he'll be able to do when he's on his back taking elbows to the face.

I wonder how close the wrestling will be this time around. This time Kos knows what is coming. I don't think he was expecting GSP to come at him like that last time around. The wrestling game should be interesting IMO. Kos does appear to have a speed advantage and is one of the rare fighters with equal athletic ability. But like I said I don't see any way Kos wins, but he could make GSP really work for this one.

It very well could be boring. But you have two very good athletes with good cardio going 5 rounds.

I just dont get fired up for anything with GSP in it. I dont think I will get that one unless another big fight is on the card that will be exciting.

I agree that the wrestling will be much more even in this fight since Kos now knows how good GSP's wrestling is. However, a lot of people are forgetting that despite not going into their first fight with a lot of wrestling training in his camp (bc Kos assumed he was the better wrestler), he still won a round on the judges cards and lost 2 rounds to 1. In that respect, the round Kos won, was the round he was able to take GSP down. The rounds GSP won were the rounds he took Kos down. This fight is going to be closer then people think bc Kos is going to train his wrestling hard for this fight. While I dont think Kos will win, counting him out in this type of stylistic matchup is nuts.
