"Report: Rampage Jackson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the works according to tatame.com:

Nogueira’s boxing coach Luis Carlos Dórea revealed that the Bahia native fighter will come back to the octagon in September.

"It’s set that he’ll be back in September, and rumors point that his opponent might be Quinton Jackson. It’d be a great fight for Rogério, he’s a former UFC champion and a victory over him will move us pretty close to the title."

Hmm would much rather see Lil Nog vs Shad for an interim title since Rua is now injured.

Shogun isn't going to be out long enough to warrant an interim title. The surgery is just supposed to keep him out until October I think

Honestly the Page/Forrest rematch needs to happen, it just makes to much sense not to.

Little Nog vs Rampage is a new look though, so I am all for it.

+1 to Wolfy. New looks are always nice. Especially good fights like this one.

I wouldn't mind Rampage vs Ace if he wasn't hurt.

They should really just make the number one contender match always for the Interim title, at least for any champ that doesn't defend within 124 days, most don't.

Shogun won't be back in the Octagon until March so I would assume around October/November is when he'll get back in the gym

yeah that is a long way away. And that is prob best case scenario. I'd guess an interim fight is coming.

Yeah that really blows. He was hitting that stride again and now we have to wait that long to see him fight

Scrap this fight, have Evans vs Lil Nog for the interim title and grant Rampage's wish for a Forrest rematch.
