Eduardo Alonso, Shogun Rua's manager says they are looking for a fight against Machida, Griffin, Anderson or Couture:

"The motivation is natural as the challenges will come. We have great fights ahead of us, we may fight against Lyoto in the future, a rematch against Forrest Griffin, a fight against Anderson in the future, it it’s UFC’s wishes… I would really like that Maurício had a chance to fight against the legendary Randy Couture before he retires… There are great fights that may become good challenges and an important financial reward."

Personally I think fights with Randy and Forrest at this point would be complete wastes of time, but Shogun probably wants revenge on Forrest and to have that Randy Couture name on his record.

I'm hoping for a 3rd showdown with Shogun and Machida, but if Anderson cleans up Sonnen and Vitor, and Shogun remains Champ, you have to make that fight.

I'd be utterly dissapointed if Spider does not clean out 185, and then make a uber mega fight with Rua.

Forrest would be a concievable bout after Rashad.

Tito and ? then Title fight? not for me.

Too many other top guys in waiting, and I don't think he could take the guys he'd need to beat to get that shot.

I would want one victory over a solid top ten opponent for Forrest to prove he is still a top guy, and then I'd like to give Shogun the chance to avenge his loss to Griffin. The card would do exceptionally well on PPV.

If Rua wants to avenge his loss to Forrest I have no problem with that, If he beats Rashad he should be allowed to choose his opponents.

not with the people who deserve the shot next in line. forrest needs to prove himself again if he want shogun at this point.

After Rashad there isn't a clear contender. Lil Nog just scrapped by Brillz(plus Rua already beat him in pride), Bones is still being built up, Machida has just been beaten by Rua, Rampage is still trying to decide if he wants to continue acting or not, and Couture is busy with Toney.

Spider: Yes @ 185
