Karo unable to come to terms with Strikeforce

Former UFC welterweight contender Karo Parisyan (18-5) will not serve the next chapter of his career in Strikeforce, as the two sides were unable to come to terms.

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker confirmed the news with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) after a source close to the event said a proposed deal had recently been shelved.

"We had a cup of coffee," Coker said. "It didn't work out. "He's a great kid. We wish him luck."

The proposed deal called for Parisyan to fight at "Strikeforce: Los Angeles" on June 16 against an opponent to be determined. Parisyan could not be reached for comment when contacted by MMAjunkie.com.

Wow this guy just continues to fall. What a waste of talent, if he was just right mentally he could be a very competitive fighter. What is up with guys like Karo and Filho?

depends on what they could not agree on. Bellator sounds like a better fit for Karo.

Really? With how often they have to fight? I just really don't see Karo being able to show up and fight that many times in a year.

Bellator has learned their lession potentially about signing UFC refugees/cast offs to huge deals in bidding contests with Strikeforce with the Roger Huerta situation. They payed a ton of money for a potential fight with Eddie that will never happen. Granted they gave Pat Curran an immediate jump of about 400 spots in the universal rankings but that isn't the same. If Karo was too rich for SF, he will be too rich for Bellator.

Anyway rumors have it Karo wanted a lifetime supply of vicodin in addition to a bunch of ready-clean to pass drug tests. I may have made that up.

LOL... Who the fuck is Luis Dutra Jr.?... And has it really been almost a year and a half since Karo last fought? Damn, that guy has fallen waaaay off if this is where he's heading and these are the fights he's willing to take...

This is bad for all involved. Karo needs to get his shit together and SF has the best fights for him and SF need some WW's, well they need any WW's. Besides Nick and Riggs who else do they even have?

Karo has apparently said that Dana has agreed to take him back in the UFC after he has a tuneup fight. Not sure if he's just making that up or not

Heiron should sign with the UFC, SF has dicked him around

I'm pretty sure Hieron fought his last contracted fight in SF against Riggs and is in his 90 day restriction clause or something like that.

he has been dicked, but that is due in part to his fights in sf having been a bore, and diaz's drug test failure/lack of interest in a heiron fight.
