Merger: Over-Under

I'll set it at one year.

I want to take the over, but I'd first like to know the respective tv deals. Anyone got those details?

I could see a SF/UFC merger, making Coker another minority shareholder. Which I think would be excellent for Scott, because I think he is on shaky ground now.

Putting BW and FW title fights on cards as co main events will allow them to spread out the talent in the other divisons to other cards. More shows= more money. It will be a quanity move here not a quality move.

interesting, but would we count that as a merger? I say no.

When a card has both WEC and UFC fighters I'd basically count that as a merger

I say merger is when WEC no longer exists. I mean when dream guys fight on a sf card that is not a merger. But a grey area 4 sure.

SF doesn't own Dream, they have independent Champs with overlapping divisions.

WEC fighters fighting on a UFC card would be BWs and FWs, the LW division will be gone by the end of the year. I just see it as basically a merger, if that happens.

Waay way under. The WEC stars smell the money now. Faber has been demanding ppv type dollars and considering that he is approaching the end of his athletic peak he knows he needs to make his money now. No more 20k VS checks. Also, the WEC's newfound knockout king Jose Aldo's manager is Ed Soras. Aldo is their most bankable star now that he resoundly defeated Faber and appears invincible this moment. They aint fightin' for VS money anymore.

WEC fighters marketed by the UFC like the UFC still do less than even horrible UFC cards without the brand. The merger has begun already. Why place an over under bet for a game at 21 when it is 7 - 3 with 20 seconds to go?

Less then a year on the WEC merger, less then 2 on the SF buyout(merger still not complete).
