Is Rampage a HoF?

First Black LHW champion, has some of the most memorable highlight reel KO's over legends like Kevin Randleman, Arona and Liddell, and he defended the title against Dan Henderson, unifying the LHW strap for the first time, becoming the first true LHW champion. Even his loss against Forrest was close and disputed.

Has he done enough, in spite of his brutal losses and out of cage drama, to get it. Does one defense after a long lineage of champions like Liddell, Ortiz, Shamrock and Silva get you in?

I posted this, but I am not sure. On the one hand, not having any defenses besides Dan kind of hurts him, but beating Dan to win the real title is as good a win as possible.

With that said, yes Rampage should be in the HOF.

The UFC started a HOF prematurely IMO.

Man I know MMA is still young but the qualifications to enter their HOF is pretty weak.

I think so. Not only does he have the wins in the UFC despite his recent woes. Champion, successful title defense vs. Pride champion, ended Chuck's reign, and i don't think people remember just how popular Rampage was in 2007. I remember he was actually a topic on PTI and ESPNNEWS was giving his fights a bit of coverage. I think Rampage has a lot to do where with UFC's rise. It was Brock that put it over the top but Page was getting them a lot of buzz.

Anyway, wins over Liddell, Lyoto, Wanderlei, and Hendo is pretty good stuff. Just lost his hunger but i'd still pick him against a large majority of the LHW's in the UFC.

Basically if you defended a belt and didn't disappear like Lesner then you're in.

Mask Lewis is in...the flood gates are open...its a shame if Rampage and many others don't get in now
