UFC 111 PPV Buys

Interested in seeing how many total buys this PPV got. If anyone gets the link, could they post it here please....I'm guessing that it'll be anywhere from 650-750k.

Well, i bet the UFC would be happy with 500K considering what the buyrates have been looking like since the turn of the new decade.

this will be closer to 800k than most realize. Two title fights, one featuring GSP after a widely successful Prime Time show.

Affliction, to my knowledge didn't do over 200,000 buys! The UFC with the perception of weak cards did over 300,000. So I am guessing that they did between 750,000-900,000. but I would not be shocked if they did over 1 million, with GSP and Hardy on the card.

I was being sarcastic because of my little census play. I know it did better than any affliction card but thanks for the neg anyway homie

Early estimates say 850,000 buys for UFC 111

Early cable estimates, and granted, anything this early in the week can be way off, indicate about 850,000 buys for UFC 111 on 3/27, putting it in the top six for UFC of all-time. The number had to boost the spirits of the company coming off four straight shows that did disappointing numbers. Dana White didn't give a number, but in an exchange of messages before we got any figures, he indicated being thrilled with the early estimates he had gotten and that it looked to be well above my prediction (700,000) going in. If this number holds up, it would be the largest since UFC 101 on 8/8.

This article says that if it hit 850,000 that GSP would be the next highest draw after Brock. I have to say that I really paid for this card to see Mir vs Carwin and GSP vs Hardy was just like a bonus to see a top 3 p4p fighter in the world. If Mir vs Carwin wasnt on that card I probably wouldnt have touched it with a ten foot pool lol.

GSP and a HW title fight easily would push close to 1 million, surprised to see the surprise at the buyrates here.

Like some of us have been screaming for weeks, "draws" are the best fighters, titles, and not names. The MMA PPV buying audiance is separate from random tapout fag.

They promoted the shit out of it. It was on buses, billboards, radio spots, the primetime special...they knew they had to double down on promotion because GSP was fighting a can(in contrast, i see Hardy as slightly above Marcus Davis) and it looks to have paid off.

I don't deny that either Kings, but without the two title fights, this show does half the viewers or less.

Do you think GSP's PPV stock fell after this fight? I doubt it will be significant, but I am sure some people will be put off enough by the lack of finish to think twice. My wife who I would consider a casual fan though thought his performance as great and attributed Hardy's toughness and skill as the primary reason it wasn't finished though, and thought all the criticism of GSP to be silly, for what it's worth.
