The Pacific

Subject: The Pacific Tue Mar 16, 2010 1:54 am

I just watched the first episode of The Pacific. As I hoped, it was a quality piece of work. Band of brothers offered an excellent telling of the European theater and it is one my favorite TV productions. I'm glad Spielberg decided to continue into the Pacific chapter of history. Did anyone else get a chance to see this?

not yet but some guys from work were talking about it. ill have to check it out cause band of brothers was pretty damn good.

Saw it and liked it very much. It seems this one will have more of a personal feel then BoB, which is a positive imo.

My girl has made this our "sunday night show" for the next 10 weeks, which was fine until I realized the Vs's show is this week.

What Channel is it on? I liked B.O.B alot. I would like to check it out. I don't have HBO so I hope it is on regular TV or Showtime? I can check it on Hulu maybe?

It starts next month here and I can't wait.

I adored Band Of Brothers , I watched it on DVD multiple times.

I bet it is good, but not as good as Dexter. That show is awesome.

Showtime is better than HBO right now. HBO really doesn't have much going for it. They do have some new shows getting ready to start like Boardwalk Empire so hopefully they are good

After right now you should have put IMO, unless ur taking because HBO is in between seasons on some shows, but overall it's all HBO

Weeds and Dexter, Weeds has slowly gone down hill, but I still like it, I don't watch the split personality chick show.

Californication is pretty funny. Dexter being the best show on TV (IMO) puts them ahead. The two best things on HBO are Curb and Eastbound and Down and neither really have a set schedule and just kind of come and go whenever they want. I don't watch Big Love and I think Entourage is terrible. Other than that True Blood and these new bunch of random comedies like Ricky Gervais Show and Funny or Die is all I can think that they have

Yeah they have some decent programmming. I just miss the old days of Sopranos, The Wire, Six Feet Under, Oz,etc...damn that was some good TV

Yeah I'm a fan of Olyphant. That was a pretty good show. They canceled that and Carnivale pretty early

Oz was possibly my favorite show ever. The cast was unbelievable. Just look around TV today and almost every damn show has someone that was on Oz

I have not seen this but was really hacked when I found out I could have had HBO for 3 months free and missed the acceptance date. I will likely get this on DVD

I like Dexter the most, but HBO has the most shows I like. I wish Brotherhood wouldn't have gotten cancelled on Showtime. That took the place of Sopranos for me. I did like Carnival also. Curn and Entourage are the other two I like. I haven't watched the vampire show yet, but I heard it was great just like The Pacific. I can't wait to watch them all. For the record HBO and Showtime rule!
