Hendo vs GSP hypothetical pick em.

I think there are 2 legit question regarding that hypothetical

1)would the UFC want this fight to happen? Would they risk GSP's superstar dominance at 185 in anything besides a superfight?

I would have said no, but with his Tuf appearance, and subsequent highlight reel KO, perhaps the juice would be there. Perhaps a precursor to Spider.

2)who wins?

Not sure where I'd go on this. Would be very tempted to take Hendo, but as we were talking about the other day on the other board, it's not good business to pick against GSP.

Yeah I would also be very tempted to pick hendo. I think they should not just throw GSP against silva or hendo at 185, he should get at least 1 fight under his belt at 185

Wow, good question. If they could make it happen I think it would be awesome and give Spider the winner. Whether it would happen or not that is a really tough question.

I guess I have to take GSP but I think that would be a hell of a fight

I think giving him Hendo as his first 185 test is a great pick. Although, I dont see Dan winning this.

Hendo because I think he can clinch, keep it standing, and eventually KO/TKO GSP.

GSP, as long as he stayed away from Hendo's right hand he would pick Dan apart standing. This would be a fight where Georges would have to showcase his skills standing.

No, right now. Though there are some pretty legit reasons why this fight would not happer, it still is not an unrealistic matchup.

I'd be for GSP if it was a strictly standup affair. Henderson chin would surely keep him standing for 3 rounds, even if GSP did pick him apart. And it would only take one the other way to end it.

This thread is like 17 months old. Just FYI.

I don't think Hendo would KO GSP simply because Georges would be controlling the range too much and have the constant threat of a takedown if Hendo were to become over aggressive.

I think were as everybody else that fights GSP says if they land a big shot it's over Hendo actually has the right hand to do what the others have just talked about.

GSP will Lnp for the win. There is no doubt in my mind. Hendo defense wrestling has never been that good. Plus its a known fact that into the later rounds he always gasses.

Keep in mind this thread was created a year and a half ago. I just thought with both having impressive wins in back to back weeks it would be an interesting bump.
