Only UL.will match Tennessees offer, and raise it from what the big wigs who have the funds have said. Strong is the best candidate for UT though. Btw sooners, you sound like a big12 homer, lol.

Tennessee wants him more than Gundy and Junior. A guy from Tennessee's athletic dept told a local radio guy and said Strong killed it in the interview. He said he knew the guy in their AD dept too. WTF are you talking about? Oklahoma State's football program is in a far better place then Tennessee right now. When was the last time Tennessee had a better football team then Oklahoma State? Remember how close Oklahoma State was to a National Championship last season? Closest 3rd place finish in BCS history.
It would be a dumb move. It would be far more difficult to build up Tennessee then it would be to continue to build up OSU. His job is also much more secure staying where he is. SEC has too many teams that will better then Tennessee for him to accomplish anything. That's just the truth. If you disagree you are fooling yourself.

How much harder is it going to be to bring up UT in the SEC with teams like LSU, Alabama, Florida and now A&M all already at elite status and all of them seem to be still going up. Compare that to the current Big 12 where Texas is still struggling, OU is very beatable and the rest of the teams are just decent at the moment. Oklahoma State has been challenging for the Big 12 title and last year the National Title and they are in position to keep that up for atleast the near future. He has done all this work to get them to where they are and right now it's much easier for him to win at OSU then it is at UT.
UT is a more difficult job with more pressure and it's unlikely he will get that program to the level of OSU considering the competition in that conference. Tell me where this logic is wrong? IMO it's a dumb move and he is more likely to get fired in 3-5 years at UT then he is at OSU.

My argument is it's better to be a top Big 12 team then a middle of the pack SEC team. I think it's extremely obvious that he is in a better situation now then he would be at UT if he took that job.

I don't think anyone can honestly say that Tenn football program is in a better position right now then Oklahoma State's football program.

Gundy said no thanks. No one way segueing UT hs a better situation now. But I think it's safe to say UT is in a better conference, has a bigger fan base, and has more resources (more than just Boone and his stipulations).

You keep dancing around the fact that Oklahoma State's program is years ahead of UTs program at the moment. They are the more relevant program in college football right now. Just a fact.

This isn't any resentment towards Ok State because they were more relevent in the Big 12 then A&M in recent years is it? Your program can't call them little brother like mine can.

Charlie got shitty with the 20k people that get drunk surrounding the stadium and come in mid first quarter. I agree with him. Just because we are a big time tailgate school doesn't mean we shouldnt ne in our seats when the game starts. We did finish top 5 in percentage of seats filled though.

Props for BBc calling it on the UL money. 4 million is a ton to turn down from UT.

Now it sounds like Bo and a few others are reaching out to UT with that kind if money in the mix.
