| My daughter is 7 and wanted to play tee ball this summer instead of dance so I signed her up and offered to be an assistant coach. The guy that runs the league calls me and says that they had 10 people sign up to be assistant coaches but no1 wanted to e head coach so they wondered if I would do it. I of course said yes and now tomorrow is my first practice. Any of u guys ever coaches sports for your kids or other children? if so any advice? | |

| Just be patient, remember that they're kids and it's all for fun but help them wherever you can(like choking up on the bat or how to hold the glove to catch grounders, etc etc etc). | |

| Just stick to the very basic fundamentals and remember the important part is to keep it fun so they want to keep playing as they grow up | |

| Teach them the importance of the team before the individual. |

| What Ludo said. In addition there's always fundamental stuff you can do. Split them into groups of four and play catch. My biggest problem was teaching my girls team to get in front if the ball. They were all scared. I taught them to stop the ball with their glove if they were scared to catch it. | |

Were you able to max out your stats? Whats so wrong with wanting to create the perfect fighter for every weight class and smash everybody right off the bat? I remember before the first game came out, everybody was saying i'm gonna create the perfect fighter and beat the shit out of everybody. When the game came out...fail. Not everybody wants to spend hours playing their boring career mode where by the time you get even close to a high level rating, it's time to retire. I just want it available for regular exhibition play(not online). Playing with the available fighters gets boring and the career mode is 0-3 if you ask me. Having that option would give the game more prolonged interest. As it is, people get tired of those games pretty quick. I don't understand what is wrong with my complaint. NBA, MLB, and NFL knows whats up and most would agree.

| Tim, the most important advice is make sure that all the girls get a good amount of PT. That is how you are judged on the little league level...not by player performance. Preach the fundmentals in practice..keep the parents happy during the game. | |

Make sure the kids have fun and the parents are happy. Great advice with all the helicopter parents out there

There's nothing wrong with wanting that, but basing an entire game's quality or lack there of on a hinge consisting of just one aspect of the game is kind of dumb. It'd be like saying the UFC games are terrible just because Randy Couture isn't a playable character in them.

| I think you're bullshitting me. Everybody wants to max out created players...it's the whole point of created players. Nobody wants to spend hours and hopefully reach Josh Burkman level just in time to retire. They want to create the perfect fighter and smash.
I dont think the games are bad as far as gameplay goes, but it's a glaring weakness once you've tired out on playing the few fighters worth playing with in the game..and the career mode has been a bore with each edition, even though they have tried to make it less boring. They have failed.
Hopefully EA smacks some sense into them. So far they been such a mark for themselves with "it's not easy in the UFC, you have to spend hours in the gym". That's fine for guy willing to spend hours on a game but i think it's a big reason why after the first one, nobody has given two shits about the last two.

| I can honestly say I'm not bullshitting you. I never got big into creating fighters in the games. People stopped giving a shit because the sport is just too complex to simulate properly on the first few tries. That coupled with the limited playability aside from online matches(which many people found frustrating due to spamming and lagging) are the main factors to lowered interest, not a trivial option missing. | |

| Well the 1st practice went awesome. I finally met my assistant coach who is cool as hell and all the parents seemed very cool and into also. I was surprised at how good some of them were to be honest. They werent afraid of the ball at all and a couple acctually can throw. Should be a fun season. | |

| That is awesome, have a fun, would love to do that for my daughter but the work schedule makes it hard.
Fundamentals are definitely the right way to go, help them with their swing, if you see a girl with a horrible swing, show her how to make it better, instead of letting her swing progress that way, my daughter's coaches tell the girls great swing every time so they never know how it really was, I have to take my daughter home and recoach her which confuses the shit out of her.
