Ronda Rousey vs Sarah Kaufman Strikeforce title fight planned for August

Newly-crowned Strikeforce Women's Champion Ronda Rousey has her first 135-pound title defense lined up for August 2012, where she's expected to face off against former division straphanger Sarah Kaufman at a location to be named, according to a report from MMA Fighting.

Kaufman represents a tough style matchup for Ronda. She's very hard to take down, and has the striking/striking power to make Ronda think twice about wading in for the clinch. This will be Rousey's toughest test to date.

I'll go Kaufman, Coenen has wicked subs and good grappling even from the bottom but I just see Ronda throwing her and ending up in side control/mount before going for something. Coenen's game plays into Ronda's game and we've seen that trying to play Ronda's game gets your arm mangled. Kaufman in theory has the tools to beat Ronda. She has the hands and power in them to keep Ronda from wanting to tie up and shrugging off shots as she does it, plus Kaufman is notoriously hard to take down.
