Bin Laden Wanted to Kill Obama

He knew the Al Qaeda brand was damaged and wanted to change the name of the group, also wanted to shoot down a plane with Obama and Patreaus but considered not a real threat.

One of his media advisers, who U.S. officials believe to be the American al Qaeda recruit Adam Gadahn, suggested bin Laden take advantage of the 9/11 anniversary in 2011 to record a 'high definition' videotape message that could be given to all the major American news networks, except to Fox News, which Gadahn said "lacks neutrality." It doesn't appear that bin Laden made such a tape.

you gotta realize some people (especially in Bush administration) thought the Taliban and Al Qaeda were renered useless after Afghanistan Invasion, 2004 London Bombings proved we were wrong. Before we killed Bin Laden , a lot of people in government claimed Bin Laden was not in control of Al Qaeda operations anymore, was just the figure head, and had been rendered a non issue as far as control of the operation goes.

Everything we found in his compound proves otherwise.

We don't know what was really found there. And AQ is as much a media and government creation as a legit real network. The term basically fits any fundamentalist sunni Islamist. And the more we attack the middle east, the more violence breaks out between Israel and Islamic radicals, the more voice those ideologies have in the middle east. This is not a war we can ever win with military power. Rather, it makes it much worse.

I wholly reject the terms war on terror and terrorism in general. Especially when we have proven links between US sponsored bombings. "CIA-counter insurgency" and "counter-terror operations". The shit is terrorism when they do it, so it should be terrorism when we do it.

Hezbollah is a terrorist organization if Israel is one. If Israel is not Hezbollah is not. They're the same. Except, of course, Hezbollah started and gained all its power during a 20 year illegal occupation and massacre of civilians. The violence over there is not our fault. But we make it worse. And if Hezbollah hits us, it is absolutely our fault.
