From 1999 to 2022 Darrell Vasquez accomplished what no other Wrestler had in California history, won four state titles in four straight years. Alx Cisneros of Selma is looking to become the second wrestler to accomplish the feat on Saturday. As a freshman he won the 103 state title, as a sophomore the 112 title, 125 as a junior, and now looks to once again topple the 40 man field at 132 pounds. He is the Nations number one ranked 132 pound wrestler and has a career record of 172-3, he has never lost to any other wrestler in the state of California. Maybe Olympics or MMA in his future?

Unfortunately, Cisneros lost 5-3 in the state finals. He was up 3-0 with 9 seconds left and was thrown to his back. He is going to Cornell next year.

The kid is an absolute beast though and that loss really doesn't mean anything in terms of his wrestling ability or future. He will be at Cornell, one of the best college programs in the country, and from there, who knows. Hopefully he hasn't reached his peak and continues to improve.
