well, they just brought it Lavar and Griggs who fit the non-boring bill and don't have all the recent losses, and Pat Barry just got new life. So, Beltran was expendable.

That is kinda true but I don't really agree with it. HW is not the most talented division, but it is one that the most people across the spectrum have a high interest in. There are currently about 30 fighters in the UFC at HW where the deeper divisions all average around 60 fighters. I wouldn't want to lose any HW right now.

Even in a thin division(no pun intended) dropping 4 of your last 5 fights means you get cut, unless your name is Dan(Mark) Hardy.

That's true, but 4 out of 5 of those were decent fights, the Johnson fight really being the only bad showing he has been in. One foty, the Rosa one could of been. He made a fight out of all of them, other than getting KO'd for the first time by Johnson, he won rounds in the three other losses he had. I wouldn't cut him.

If his last loss was close that would be one thing, but he put in the worst performance of his life against a guy who people questioned if he even belonged in the UFC. I am surprised he got slashed before JOE though.
