His MMA wrestling isn't that good and Bisping's defensive grappling is just fine

Munoz loses to Bisping at least 8 of every 10 times. His shot isn't elite for a wrestler and his striking isn't very technical, therefore his shot is usually easy to see coming. Not to mention he got taken down multiple times by Chris Leben.

That said, Sonnen rapes Bisping.

Hell yeah its a better fight. Bisping will at least have a shot to test Chaels chin where Munoz and Chael would have been a wrestling match.

Munoz would knock bisping the fuck out 12 out of 10 times. This is giving bisping a more clear and easy path to Anderson. Rematch with Maia is what the non WWE crowd is looking for.

what is all this garbage talk here man, munoz beats bisping all day long if he uses his wrestling. munoz sonnen was one hell of a match up in all aspects but now we got cant bust a grape bisping vs lay n pray cant bust a grape sonnen. sonnen UD all day long hell bisping could get subbed.

Im not writing Bisping off here. As said, he's a pretty good defensive grappler. Good enough to keep Sonnen off him? Tough chore, but Stann did a decent job for a couple minutes.

I don't see this as any tougher or easier then Munoz.

One of the biggest misconceptions in MMA. I didn't realize people were giving his TDD this kind of status but man are they over selling that shit big time.

"pretty good" is "over selling that shit big time"? Nah. Bisping is a pretty good fighter. I know he can be unlikable, but he's proven himself competent in the ring.

Bisping is a good fighter, I probably don't give him enough overall credit as a fighter. But his TDD defense is being overrated. "Pretty good" would even be going a bit far. It's like Kongo's offensive wrestling, that shit only works against grappling noobs. Against anyone who knows what they are doing on the ground, it's pretty ineffective.

i was going to take bisping in a sig bet against maia knowing there'd be no shortage of takers.

i'm not as confident about this one though hahaha
