Mir is only 32 and he keeps evolving. I think as long as he is fit he will be a top 10 guy for the next 5 years. He wont ever be champ again though.

Mir's resume is, and has been pretty darn good.

taps Tank(jk), dislocation of Sylvia, taps Brock, KO's Nog, levels Kongo then subs him, KO's Cro Cop, outclasses roy, and then breaks Nog.

I know he has alot of asteriks amongst those wins, Brock being green, Nog with staph, Cro Cop old and a boring fight otherwise, but I think taking the arm of a submission guy like Nog, really validates what he has been doing for the past 4 years.

16-5, 12 wins by stoppage, 2 arms on the wall, almost all of it in the UFC, gotta give him props.

I respect Mir and can't think of how badass he would have been without having that wreck. He is a top guy either way. If he gets Cain, count on him getting raped. Brock is about to become champ again anyways. Cain gets his rematch in a year against Lesnar after he beats Reem and JDS. Unless Brock stands with any of them. Then he gets beat and u need to forget what I was saying.

I'm not liking that article at all. Still ranking Minotauro ahead of Mir as an all time MMA grappling heavyweight? Mir just reversed position to get out of a choke, then ripped his arm off after being dazed and looking like he was/close to unconscious. Ranking Velasquez ahead of Mir as an MMA grappler is pretty cheap because thats a totally different kind of grappling altogether. Mir is by far the best submission grappling MMA heavyweight to ever walk into a cage.

By far? Are you saying he is far better then guys like Werdum? I'm not sold on that.
