i think 205 is a good weight class to headline this, although stressing how this is a pretty new market of casual fans i wouldn't put someone like Phil Davis in the main event, although extremely talented has basically no drawing power. The causal fan could probably care less about Phil Davis. I feel you have to make a great impression here.

| You can't have big names on the Fox card because that would
take away future paper view buys, which is the UFC's bread and butter.
I think Faber vs Cruz 3 would be the perfect fight to headline this card:
- It will be a guaranteed exciting fight, which should go to the decision.
- Would be a perfect way to show the causal fan all the aspects of MMA.
- It will be for a title.
- Faber is a draw, but not a mega star like GSP, Brock, and Anderson are so the UFC won't lose money making this fight free.
- It would be the perfect vehicle to make Cruz a star if he wins and promotes the smaller weight classes.
The only problem I foresee is will Cruz be healthy by then? Or is this too quick of a turnaround for Faber?

I agree with this but they will have some bigger names on the Fox cards. Faber vs Cruz 2 is the best fight for the card. However saving some fights for PPV and having big names on Fox is what the UFC wants to do. Chael is on the Fox 2 card because of how big his name has gotten and Zuffa wants to capatalize on that and have him match up with Silva in a PPV. | |
