Last night was the perfect example of why we need 5 rounders

If it wasn't 5 then the FOTY favorite because nothing more then a strong showing for Hendo and he becomes the #1ish contender.

I agree that 5 round main events are a good idea.

Great fight but I'm still not in favour of it. Not every main event fight will be this good.

Agreed Freak but without 5 round main events we would have never knew how good Hendo vs Shogun would have truely been.

The fight was still awesome through 3. The 4th made it a true classic because Shogun mounted his comeback. But the 5th was a dead rnd.

And the 2 extra rnds did not help clear up who the winner was. Which is a frequent argument for 5 rnds.

Without the 4th and 5th then this is pretty much a Hendo sweep in my opinion. I gave Hendo all 3 of the 1st rounds. Not only wouldnt it have been epic it would have been a clear UD for Hendo.

But not totally. The 4th rnd made it the epic. But it was still a great fight through 3. The 5th was just a couple completely gassed fighters.

So the 4th completely backs up the 5 rnd argument. The 5th gave a little back in that argument, not all of it, not even close to all of it, but the 5th rnd on it's own, does not back up the need for 5 rnders.

Yeah the 5th was 2 guys that was gassed pretty much but we wouldnt have ever seen that 4th round without 5 round main events so I think we agree here for the most part.
